Wow. 25 years!
As we hit this incredible milestone, we wanted to post something a little special - something that captures not just where we are now, but the journey that shaped us. So, as you swipe through this photo carousel, you’ll be travelling backwards through time: starting with our amazing current lineup and working all the way back to where it all began - four teenagers in a school assembly hall, in November 2000, with big ideas, limitless energy, and absolutely no idea of the adventure that lay ahead.
Every photo tells a chapter of our story: the line-ups, the friendships, and the unforgettable moments we’ve shared with tens of thousands of people across the UK and the world. It’s a story of evolution, graft, gratitude, and growth - and somehow, we feel as excited about what lies ahead than we did when it all began.
And while this post looks back across 25 years, it also reflects where we are now. The current Session Band lineup is an exciting chapter in the story - a group of musicians who bring unbelievable energy, talent, professionalism and heart to every show. At the same time, every former member has shaped the band in more ways than they’ll ever know - their contribution remains a permanent part of who we are today. This evolution is what has kept The Session Band growing for a quarter of a century.
We want to give a massive thank you to every musician who has been part of the Session family, every partner and family member who has supported us, every venue that welcomed us, every DJ, every supplier, every sound engineer, every photographer, every videographer, every planner, every coordinator, and every person behind the scenes who helped us look and sound our best.
And to the couples, clients, and audiences who have trusted us with some of the most important moments of your lives. Without you, this story wouldn’t exist.
