We are experiencing war in a new way. War is narrated, filtered and consumed… in memes and animations. What happens when war begins to resemble play?

War is no longer only fought on the battlefield. It is narrated, filtered, and consumed.

Some Lenten Reflections.

A Reflection for

On this Ash Wednesday, we remember that we are born of cosmic stardust and to the dust of the stars we will return.

The season of Lent reminds us that we are fragile and so is this life. One évanescent moment that is but a breath in our vast universe.

What place does dust have amid such vastness?

We take the 40 days of Lent to sit quietly with the things that keep us from experiencing the fullness given to us in Divine love, in all its vastness.

Because even in our own fragility, we are born to glitter, gleam, and glow with kindness, mercy and love. We are meant to reflect the Divine love of the same God who created the universe and who overcame death with love. We are meant to shine. 💫

Lent gives us the chance to quietly anchor ourselves in those things that create abundance. Jesus is beckoning us toward wholeness, whispering again and again His promises of abundance: Peace is for us. Joy is for us. Love is for us.

And if all of this is for us… How can we not shine? Shine little one.

You are but stardust. ✨

In a world filled with so much heaviness, it's easy to feel overwhelmed. 🌍💔 I poured my personal grief and the little blessings that emerged into my book, Ruffled By Grace. If you’re searching for hope and perhaps a liturgy for screaming, let’s navigate this journey together. 📖✨ Remember, it’s okay to feel what you feel. Your heart matters. 💖

For courage in a fearful time…

Like the midwives, we may not know how the story will unfold before us, but we can still have the courage to do the next faithful thing.

Solstice 2025

A strand of my Christmas lights burnt out today. « Perfect » I thought because it’s already the darkest night. Now my house reflects the darkness. Sigh.

It may have been the super flu talking (oh my goodness, I hope you have not been touched by this flu; it is awful), or maybe it was grief. Whatever it was, it felt heavy, dark, and sad.

I’m tempted to say that those sentiments reflect all of 2025, but that wouldn’t be fair or true. Yes, my 2025 has contained its share of grief, but it was also full of joy, laughter, a little champagne, and good things. I am trying to hold those both together.

Gosh, it feels like I am always trying to just hold it together. And aren’t we all? At one point or another, we are all trying our best and hanging on for dear life: meandering through the darkness, searching for meaning, looking for joy.

On this darkest night of the year in the northern hemisphere, I am simply holding hope for tomorrow. That’s it. I don’t need to hold it all together. I just hope and pray that tomorrow I will see the morning light - and I know that there will be more light tomorrow than there was today.

Tonight I will light candles and snuggle in with this little furry monster and 3 of my favorites. And I hope that it will spark a little joy. And my hopeful heart plus their brightness will be a little more light in this place. I don’t need my twinkling mantle lights to find that kind of light.

May this longest night bring you rest and deep rejuvenation. May you find quiet and calm. May you be embraced by hope in the dark.

Grief & Gratitude.
It’s strange how often they walk side by side, how both can rise from the same deep well of love. I’m learning that it’s possible to miss what was, honor what is, and still be thankful for the tenderness woven through it all. ✨

Wherever today finds you, may you remember this: you are loved, you are held, you are cherished.

You are enough, beloved. ♥️ And what a beautiful, bountiful truth that is.

My thanks to Tehom Center for their support along the way and for publishing the words of my heart. Thank you for snapping this photo at my Paris Book Launch that was so perfectly planned by .

I want to write myself into the world heart-first, even when that world threatens to break it.
