We have built a beach volleyball camp from the players up. Over 1000 beach volleyball players told us what they want in a camp and so SSBC was born

Welcome to a beach volleyball camp unlike one you've ever been to before. Over 200 beach volleyball players from across the globe told us what they want in a training camp and we listened. We are proud to bring you a camp built by players, for players.

Next up for Barcelona: Jacques Geldenhuys 🇿🇦

Different sports. Same love for teaching and competing.

Before beach volleyball, Jacques’ sporting background included rugby — even representing South Africa — and away from the sand, he’s also a teacher.

That combination shows in the way he coaches.

He loves the game, never stops learning, and believes good coaching doesn’t have to make things complicated.

See the game.
Simplify it.
Let the player play.

“Just play. Have fun. Enjoy the game.”

We’re very happy to have Jacques joining the Sunset coaching team in Barcelona.

October 4–11.

Next up for Barcelona: Martin Kattner 🇩🇰

Some coaches teach the game.

Martin has helped shape how the game is taught.

A teacher by profession, former Danish youth national team coach and now Head of Elite & Development at Copenhagen Beachvolley, Martin has spent years developing players, coaches and talent structures in Danish beach volleyball.

He also helped build Copenhagen Beachvolley’s talent programme and contributed to the development of Denmark’s beach volleyball coach education and technical manual.

And for us, this one goes way back.

With Sunset since 2017.

We’re very happy to have Kattner back with us in Barcelona.

October 4–11.

This is what all the work is for.

Read.
Move.
Decide.
Adapt.

Then do it all again on the next point.

Barcelona is getting close. 🏐

Next up for Barcelona: Dominik Peksa 🇨🇿

Dom has been part of the Sunset coaching team since 2022.

Competitive by nature, structured in the way he coaches, and always focused on the player in front of him.

He brings energy to the court, asks for commitment and knows how to keep training demanding without losing the fun.

We’re very happy to have him back with us in Barcelona.

Next up for Barcelona: Ana Vergara 🇪🇸

Young. Experienced. Proven.

Ana spent four years competing for TCU in the NCAA, finishing her college career as a 2025 National Champion.

Since then, she’s become Spanish Champion, competed at EuroBeachVolley, reached the Top 8 of a Beach Pro Tour Challenge and collected medals on the Beach Pro Tour.

Still young, but already with years of high-level beach volleyball experience across Spain, the NCAA and the international tour.

And we’re especially happy to add another female coach to our Barcelona team. 🙌

Welcome to Sunset,

Barcelona.
