🥌 THE WORLD’S BEST CURLERS ARE COMING TO SYDNEY!

The field is nearly set for the HearingLife National, part of the Grand Slam of Curling, coming to Centre 200 November 17–22!

Unlike the Scotties and the World Women’s Curling Championship, the Grand Slam features both men’s and women’s teams competing in faster-paced eight-end games, with Olympic champions and world champions in the field!

🖤 And there are plenty of Cape Breton connections to cheer for!

🥇 Team Jacobs, 2026 Olympic gold medallists, will be part of the action — including Marc Kennedy, whose wife is from right here in Glace Bay!

🥌 Team Homan captured the World Women’s Curling Championship in Sydney in 2024.

🖤 Sydney’s own Christina Black will compete with Team Black at Centre 200 for the first time in her career after finishing runner-up at the 2025 Canadian Olympic Curling Trials!

Thank you Turning Point Curling for putting on a fantastic clinic on Saturday! 👏

Whatever they're doing at the Sydney Curling Club, they need to bottle it!

It's so encouraging to see this much enthusiasm, energy, and excitement for our sport! We had a fantastic, fun-filled day working with this group. Everyone came ready to learn, eager to improve, and willing to put in the work.

The positive attitude and enthusiasm were contagious! What a great day on the ice. We can't wait to come back!

Always a fun and action-packed weekend, and this year is sure to be the same.

On the line is a $2000 first prize and a total prize purse of over $6300. Accepting the first 16 men's, women's and mixed teams registered. All teams are guaranteed four 8-end games over the weekend.

With the Grand Slam of Curling coming to Sydney next month, we’re reminiscing about the incredible time we had hosting the Women’s World Championship in 2024!

Our club was full of amazing teams, passionate curling fans, and so many great memories. We loved welcoming visitors from around the world and sharing a little piece of Sydney Curling Club with them! 🌎🥌

Next month, we’ll be welcoming 32 of the top men’s and women’s curling teams in the world to Sydney for the Grand Slam of Curling National! 🙌 We can’t wait to experience that world-class action right here in our community.
