Of course in keeping with Nostalgic times and our fun school comrades at St Joes with The Rams, we chose St. Anne's Centre to have the fun!
Fact: many St Joes alumni are now picking up tix to celebrate Viking Spirit!
So!
Call up those friend groups… Grab your tickets today …
Your tickets matter because the proceeds tickets sold once all expenses have been covered will be going to our local St. Thomas Elgin Food Bank - The Caring Cupboard
JUST in time for the Fall season!
An epic way to have fun, reconnect and bring back some joy in giving back to the community that shaped us!
I for one, have had to use the food bank; as a child in the late 70’s and early 80’s my mother used it often. And resentfully and reluctantly AGAIN in my forties … As someone who had struggled with ongoing health issues, having overcome cancer more than one time in the post cancer era … unable to work, and actually and for real alone with no support. I am very fortunate to have my family or I would be on the streets I am sure!
In any case, I was privileged to be helped by a place such as this while I was rebuilding and healing from what life had handed to me.
It is the reason I chose my own local food bank to give back to the community that gave to my mother and her five children long long ago and then again to myself 30 years later.
I am and will forever be very appreciative thankful to the volunteers who give of themselves, their time, their energy, and to the ones who do have more than others and can spare some for others.
It is a principle I believe in strongly. Reciprocity makes community work together better!
Circles and better than ladders any day! 😉
Cheers!
See ya at the reunion!
