· I am a gregarious people person, run on coffee + true crime podcasts, and think pineapple *definitely* belongs on pizza
· I have been in the events industry for a few months shy of a decade, and couldn't imagine doing anything else!
· I share my life and home with my fiance, and our cats 😻

Yesterday was my birthday, so this month's cocktail is one of my favourite 3-ingredient recipes, Gin + Jam.

This particular one features a lovely rhubarb gin I found last spring while travelling on the east coast, and my favourite flavour combination: Strawberry + Rhubarb

· Pour 2 oz gin into a cocktail shaker filled with ice (you can also use a mason jar, or cup with a lid for less dishes!)
· Add 0.5 oz lemon juice + 1 tbsp jam
· Shake, strain, enjoy!

Tips + Tricks - Extending your early bird deadline.

While many organizations do this to 'encourage registration', it typically does not create the result that you are hoping for..

Instead, your attendees learn that they can wait before committing and that your deadlines aren't actually strict deadlines.

This will only come back to bite you once you start those 'final push' marketing campaigns!

I took a quick trip to Halifax this week for a site tour for an upcoming conference, and had a great time. I truly love maritime hospitality, it reminds me so much of being home on the prairies.

While I was there I visited the Citadel Historical Site and Alexander Keith's Brewery, ate my weight in seafood, and was completely in my element being surrounded by ships + anchors ⚓⛵

The Westin Nova Scotian was a wonderful home for a few days, and I am very excited to go back in October! Hopefully my calves have recovered from walking the Halifax hills by then!
