Dwight is not a fan of indoor pets. When we moved in together my house cat was a package deal, with the ‘understanding’ that when she passed there would be no more indoor cats. She is now about 7 years old.
When Dwight picked up the piglets for the petting zoo he came home with a kitten. Meant to be an outside cat. Barn cat. Mouser. Or so I thought.
He is a persistent little fella that just assumed he could follow us anywhere, which he does, including the house, which he did.
Day three on the farm for the kitten…it was a hot, hot day. Dwight chose to sleep on the couch next to the AC unit. ‘Somehow’ the kitten was in the house, hopped up on Dwight’s belly and slept there all night. We now have another house cat. He sleeps with us most nights usually tucked up on Dwight’s arm.
And that is how he got the name Little D.
Not my house cat, Dwight’s house cat.
