Stained Glass Suncatcher!

Ready to try a new craft? Doors open at 9:00 AM for an exciting stained glass workshop at Looma Hall on October 4th, 2025! The class runs from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and you'll be guided step-by-step by experienced artist Fern McIver to create a beautiful sun catcher to take home. A light snack and refreshments will be provided to keep you energized. No experience is needed—just bring your creativity!

Stained Glass for Beginners Workshop at Looma Hall
October 4, 2025, Saturday 9am -12:30 pm
This is a beginner level class - no experience required.
Participants will learn the basic techniques of the copper foil method; cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering, and patinating. The class will make a simple suncatcher from a choice of three different patterns (flower, bird, or feather) to become familiar with techniques and materials used in stained glass making. Tools and materials are provided.
Children 12 years and older can participate if accompanied by an adult. Both the adult and child must buy a ticket and each will be provided with a kit.
Doors open at 9:00 AM. Class begins at 9:30. Refreshments will be provided.

Many thanks to our community that joined us during the pancake breakfast, Edmonton Quilters for attending and supporting 3 wonderful organizations, Leduc County for sending Ashley the sparkle tattoiest and for our trunk saler who stuck out the weather!

It's Saturday, June 14th, 2025, which means it's PANCAKE BREAKFAST AND TRUNK SALE DAY at Looma Hall! Come on down between 8:30 am and 11:30 am for some delicious flapjacks and good company, courtesy of the Looma Good Deeds Association.

Experienced pancake consumers (10 +): $10
The up-and-coming eaters (ages 4-9): $5
