Naomi Kavka is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Smithers, BC. A classically trained cellist, vocalist, and guitar player, Kavka brings a myriad of influences to her songs, forming a daring indie-rock sound that is musically polished, lyrically visceral, and emotionally raw. Her songs come from the unique perspective of a q***r woman, a child of a refugee, a resident of the precipice of the wilderness of Canada.

It is our absolute honour to welcome Naomi again to High Beam Dreams. and will be performing live on June 1st.

Recording and performing artist Brigitte Demeter has been involved in music since the age of 3 when she started piano lessons with the royal conservatory of music and won her first song writing competition at age 6.
She is a singer/songwriter/keyboardist who attended music college and several songwriting seminars. She composes and performs music in a wide range of genres- pop, Hot AC, country, rock and orchestral instrumental. She has appeared on Nashville's Starseek, played main stage and hosted as a tv personality at the Merritt Mountain Music Fest, served as an adjudicator for the 2012, 2014 and 2017 Junos, and lent her talent on over 40 recording projects. Brigitte had three videos shot for a tv Christmas special. Two featuring her latest Christmas EP "Icicles", with Tracy Yost, and one with Mike Gouchie. She is in the midst of recording a solo relaxation CD, and a vocal CD. She wrote and recorded "I'm Not Lame Anymore" for web series "Fools for Hire" (Nominated best score and best comedy). Featured at HollyWeb Fest, LAWEBFEST, and Vancouver Webfest (official selections).

DUO 526 was founded in 2011 by violinist Kerry DuWors and pianist Futaba Niekawa at the Eastman School of Music (Rochester, NY). Their mentors include Charles Castleman, Jean Barr, Henk Guittart, Roger Tapping, Lafayette String Quartet, Hardy Rittner, and Mark Steinberg. duo526 has performed across Canada, the U.S., Japan and has had artist residencies at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity and Avaloch Farm Music Institute. .526
