Rain on your wedding day? When it comes right down to it a few drops of water are just extra blessings. Nothing can dampen the love when you lock eyes with your partner. The world goes away and it's just the two of you.
With what seems like a wetter winter than usual it's good to remember that love can shift your perspective to look on the bright side, especially with the light on the horizon as in this photo.

We’ve been quiet on here lately, taking some much-needed space for rest and healing. The end of last year held a lot of weight for us. Brian lost his father in October, which was incredibly difficult as he had to say goodbye to his last remaining parent. At the same time, we’ve both been navigating the slow process of recovering from injuries.

It’s been a year of deep contrasts. We have felt the sadness of loss alongside the joy of finally settling into our new home in Gibsons. We are so incredibly grateful that we intentionally chose a slower season last year. It gave us the time we truly needed to breathe and be present through everything we went through.

As we head into this new year, things feel refreshing. We’re in the middle of a complete website overhaul, we’re chipping away at house projects, and we are looking forward to a season of elopements and intimate weddings on the Sunshine Coast and in Tofino. Soon we will be announcing some new offerings/services which is exciting.

Speaking of Tofino, these frames are from a golden hour session here on the Coast with B & T. After a beautiful but very rainy wedding day in Tofino, we invited them to our neck of the woods for a sunny evening in paradise. It was a place they hadn’t been before, and seeing the Sunshine Coast show off its peaceful beauty was so special. A truly dreamy evening captured on 35mm film and digital.

E + A’s moody autumn elopement in the Sechelt Inlet on the Sunshine Coast, BC.

V + D had the most romantic and heartfelt Autumn elopement at the gorgeous in Vancouver. Without a doubt our fav venue for elopements in Vancouver. We love that you don’t have to leave the property if you don’t want to, as it’s all so beautiful.

Sailing into golden hour with Emily and Cam felt like a dream.
Emily reached out wanting couples photos on her family’s sailboat, and closer to the shoot date, her partner Cam messaged us to say he’d be proposing during the shoot. She had no idea and was soooo surprised and of course said Yes!

Sunset on the Sunshine Coast, calm water, champagne, and the sweetest surprise. Pure magic.

So happy to have been a part of such a meaningful time in your lives, Emily + Cam.

This was one of our most epic full-day elopements in Tofino with S + J ✨

Brian and I helped them plan a day that was completely their own, full of adventure, connection, and just the two of them, surrounded by the always spectacular west coast beauty of Tofino.

Some highlights from their day:

• A cozy, slow morning at where they got ready before their their first look on Cox Bay beach

• Their heartfelt ceremony beneath the massive old-growth trees in Pacific Rim National Park 🌲

• A three-hour helicopter adventure with , landing on a remote island and a lake high in the mountains

• The rain held off just when we needed it to

• Stacey went barefoot the entire day to feel more connected to the earth

• We spotted the cutest sea otter from the island 🥰

• The views, from ocean to mountaintop, were unreal

• The whole day flowed effortlessly, filled with awe and connection

• We got to spend another evening with them the next day to capture even more magic ✨

So grateful to be doing what we do in such amazing places. Thanks for including us for such an beautiful time in your lives S + J ❤️

When C + R dreamed of their elopement, they imagined a day surrounded by nature, peaceful, intimate, and full of meaning.

For their first time on the Sunshine Coast, we planned a day that included everything they love. From their rainforest cabin in Roberts Creek to their ceremony by a waterfall and golden hour by the ocean, every moment felt like a true reflection of them.
