Lots of laughter, a little chaos, and so many moments with people who fill my soul.

It’s easy to get caught up in what’s next… the next wedding,
the next goal,
the next thing on the never-ending list.

But August reminded me to pause, breathe, and enjoy some quieter days

Sometimes, between weddings and celebrating love, I also have the honour of celebrating a life.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of officiating Steve’s Celebration of Life.

I didn’t know Steve personally, but our lives were connected through his sister and my partner, who passed away in 2018.
And being trusted to share someone’s story and help bring people’s hearts together in grief is something I never take lightly.

We all know loss. I certainly have my own.
But grief and loss, also reminds us how precious life is,
Today's reminder; love wholeheartedly.
Take the chances.
Take the risks.
Make the memories.
Say the things that matter.
And don’t wait for someday.
Because celebrating a life isn’t just about remembering someone we’ve lost.
It’s also a reminder to truly live. ❤️

Weddings, couples, love… may not be your jam.

But pause for just a second. 🤍

Because this isn't really about weddings.

It's about making people feel seen,
heard and celebrated.

And that's something I think we can all get behind.

As an officiant, I don't just read and duplicate the same script~

I don't fake it,
I make it personal,

I want to know your weird and funny stories, and what you call boring -
it's what makes your relationship YOURS 🤍

From meeting in Grade 11 gym class to 11 years later… 🤍
The stories, the memories, the fender benders 😂, the cheerleading, the long-distance chapters, and everything in between have created such a beautiful foundation for these two.

And I couldn’t have been happier to be part of their beautiful wedding day. 🤍

Oh, Kawartha Highlands… 🤍

You hold such a special place in my heart. It was one of our favourite places to go portaging, so when I was asked if I could co-officiate for a couple while their brother led their ceremony, it was an easy YES!

Hailey & Ethan wanted something simple and low-key—a beautiful little ceremony with their brother officiating, followed by the big celebration with family and friends on the weekend.
And fun fact? They’re actually living in New Zealand! 🇳🇿🤍
So, surrounded by the beauty of Kawartha Highlands, they canoed in, and said I do !

It was such an honour to be a small part of your love story—and even more special to do it somewhere that holds so many beautiful memories for me.

I LOVE full-circle moments! 🤍

Years ago, my kids and Khalem went to the same elementary school — and somehow, all these years later, our paths crossed again… this time with me standing up front to officiate his wedding to Alanah! 🥹

After 13 years together, creating a beautiful family and life, yesterday was the perfect celebration of their love — filled with laughter, a few tears, personal vows - the perfect mix of everything that makes them them. 🤍
