We would like to express our deep gratitude for everyone that participated in our first annual BREAKING BARRIERS SHOWCASE this past Sunday on 4/20/2025. The show was a success only due to the amount of love and togetherness our community showed. The message of Mental Health and Addiction and people living with Disabilities and health conditions like Autoimmune was well received. Thank you to Nanbert Manor for bringing their amazing team to the venue and for continuing to champion for the homeless population in our city. Thank you to Amanda Parihar and Mandeez Xclusif for once again bringing your fantastic clothing and blessing the stage with a magnificent fashion show. Thank you to all the models that walked the stage, Ty Westerlund Seraphine Scarlett-Rose Myranda Louise, Tia Maria Ammar Zakaria & Nigel Gascon

Special thank you to all the guest speakers that prepared a speech for the event. Crystal Clarissa Counselling Sean Helfrich Myranda Louise and Tia Maria. Unfortunately due to time constraints and circumstances beyond our control, only 1 guest speaker was able to present their speech. To Sean Helfrich we thank you for always showing up no matter what and been such an awesome human being. We sincerely apologize that you didn't get to share your speech about Scott. We hope you have a wonderful celebration of life and balloon release this weekend for him.

We are beyond grateful for the overwhelming support for our April 20th Awareness Event! A huge thank you to everyone who has reached out to be part of this special night.

We’re excited to announce that in addition to our artist performances and the Mandeez Xclusif fashion show, we’ve added a professional guest speaker to bring even more depth and inspiration to the evening. We are also collecting essential items for those facing homelessness, thanks to Nanbert Manor.

With 22 incredible artists spanning dancehall, afro, hip-hop, and pop, this event is shaping up to be something truly special. Denis Nisim is traveling from Toronto to perform his hit song with SDG "Remember"—which has already gained 234,000+ views on YouTube—and we have a surprise guest artist you won’t want to miss!

This event is about awareness, community, and change, shining a light on mental health, addiction, disabilities, and autoimmune diseases. Let’s come together, raise our voices, and make a difference!
