Pink Lemon Decor and Aspen Florist raised $1790.76 this weekend thanks to you 🥹

Combined with Ambers sons lemonade stand fundraiser last weekend our total donation to the fire relief fund was $3343.76!

PLD also raised over $1500 in cash, gift cards and pet supplies to the Salvation Army ❤️

That is almost $5000 back to those who were directly impacted by the devastating fire.
Thank you a million times for coming together as a community to help!

I am still feeling quite speechless about the devastating fire in our downtown last week. The loss is unthinkable yet incredibly real. My heart breaks for the people who have lost their homes. Yet it is incredibly heartwarming to see our community helping them navigate through this difficult time.

My heart also breaks for the businesses .. as a small business owner you put your heart and soul and so much of your life into your business, your dream, and to have that destroyed is unimaginable.

In support of our incredible downtown we will be hosting a fundraiser at Gather ❤️

Saturday March 22nd AND Sunday March 23rd

To help our downtown neighbours, who have been directly impacted by the fire, through this difficult time.

Gather will be DONATING 40% OF ALL OUR SALES that weekend (in-store & online) to the residents and business owners displaced by the downtown Bowmanville fire.

AND .. is teaming with us .. and will also be hosting the same fundraiser at their store that weekend too ❤️

AND .. .. .. .ca .. .. .. .n .. .. .. (my apologies if I missed anyone) .. are all hosting fundraisers that weekend too ❤️

As a community we can do big things to help those who desperately need our help right now. Please help us raise much needed funds to help them start rebuilding their homes and businesses and dreams ❤️

Sadly as you may have heard our beautiful town has suffered an immense loss. Last Wednesday night a horrific fire broke out on the third floor directly across from us at Pink Lemon Decor , we are absolutely devastated for our neighbours. 💔

While we wait to hear what our BIA has planned for upcoming fundraising efforts in partnership with our downtown local businesses.

I am working on an online Aspen Fundraiser as well to help raise much needed funds for over 30 people and 9 businesses that have lost everything.

Our community is still reeling from the large fire that devastated downtown Bowmanville earlier this week 💔

The Historic Downtown Bowmanville BIA is working together with the Clarington Board of Trade, Municipality of Clarington, Region of Durham, and organizations including The Salvation Army and Red Cross to support and assist the businesses and residents affected.

There has been a profound outpouring of support from the community and we are so grateful.

Heartbreaking news update on the Bowmanville Fire 💔💔💔💔

It is with profound sadness that we share this news.

Today, the Ontario Fire Marshall located a deceased person inside the building where the large fire occurred last Thursday in downtown Bowmanville. Investigators are currently working to determine the identity of the person.
