Your Winter Elopement 💍

Seasons are shifting - and we are excited!

We wanted to share some beautiful snowy moments that reflect the winter-wonderland that Banff and Lake Louise will soon look like.

Some quick notes on your options!

❄️ Snow starts to fall after Canadian Thanksgiving (mid-October) but usually won’t stay on the ground until mid-November. Season to season can be different.

❄️ Lake Louise is at a higher elevation that the Town of Banff, so the snow will come sooner and stay longer up there.

❄️ All lakes will be frozen. So if looking for “blue water” a winter wedding might not be for you.

Lake Minnewanka Fall Edition!

Late Fall in Banff - always brings the WOW!

Lake Minnewanka is a fabulous choice for an elopement any time of year, but especially in the late season and into winter, when access to other scenic locations might not be available.

As most beautiful spots in Banff, it can get quite busy. We usually only offer Lake Minnewanka in the late season, because parking can be very limited in the height of summer.

What To Know About a Lake Louise Elopement 💕

When it comes to important topics, FIRST HAND information is key.

Lake Louise is really busy. This is true.

However, it also does have perks, and I’ll tell you about them, while offering the facts.

You can also read first hand reviews from couples who have eloped at Lake Louise using our services, if you want to go digging. Maybe a few will comment here as well:)

When I talk to couples on the phone, I am transparent. Lake Louise might not be for every couple.

🖤We do not do sunrise or sunset times. (Not here or any location - it’s just not what we do). Depending on the time of year, the time will vary, but generally we aim for 4pm.

🖤The ceremony is off the property of the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, either by the wall at the far end, or the meadow overlooking the lake (if open and available- Parks Canada often has it blocked off in the summer.

🖤We require that you are hotel guests of the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, otherwise parking is impossible, and the experience is clunky. You cannot enter the hotel unless you are a guest.

🖤Lake Louise is a town, yes. But the lake itself is steps from the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

🖤The Fairmont CLL no longer offers weddings services for under 100 guests.

🖤Our package is for the eloping couple only - just the two of you. This is what we call a TRUE ELOPEMENT. Depending on the time of year, we can be flexible with a few guests - but you all need to be hotel guests.

🖤Bottom line - this experience is for the easy going couple looking for a simple, no travel, yet elegant elopement.

🖤You need to be okay that people will be around, but no one will be in the back of your photos!
