I keep a five-year journal, which means every day I write a small note on the same page, year after year. If I’ve married you, your anniversary will be on those pages, which always prompts me to pause, think of you, and put a little hope into the universe that you’re well.

Catching up on my journal recently brought me back to this beautiful ceremony last February. K + B were absolute troopers in –20° weather, and their ceremony was filled with so much emotion and love. It was magical to witness. Captured beautifully by

If you peek at my Instagram, you might think all I do are epic, outdoorsy elopements 🌲✨
But I love indoor ceremonies just as much, and they can be every bit as magical.

This ceremony was originally planned for outdoors, but the weather had other ideas. Thanks to an incredibly smooth last-minute pivot by , we moved into the backup indoor space, and honestly, I’m so glad we did.

More than half of E and O’s guests didn’t speak English, so a dear friend of theirs agreed to translate the ceremony into Cantonese. I’d say a few lines, then Dusty would translate. Yes, it made the ceremony a little longer, but it made it so much more meaningful. It was also fun to have a co-officiant up there, and Dusty did an incredible job.

I truly believe it’s important that everyone present understands what’s happening, because the ceremony is the whole reason for all of this. It’s the big moment. And having everyone warm, comfortable, and fully included made it even more special 💛

Hi, I’m Molly 👋 the human behind Alpenglow Ceremonies. I’m a born-and-raised Canmore local who loves playing in the mountains. For the last two years, I’ve been building my celebrant practice alongside a 9-5 day job, doing ceremonies on evenings and weekends and working pretty much all hours of the day to make it happen 😅.

In 2026, I’m looking forward to more work/life balance as I step full-time into ceremony work. This is truly work that fuels my soul, and I’m grateful I followed the subtle pulls and signs from the universe over the years: because they led me here.

I’m figuring out how to have a “business” as I go, and I’m no boss babe by any stretch of the word. My business plan is basically: follow your heart ❤️ and so far, that’s been working out for me.

I create ceremonies that hold space for the most important liminal moments of your life, and it is my absolute honour to do so. I’ve always been interested in the ways people find meaning in life, so taking the time to truly get to know you is an important part of my process.

I have the best friends and family in the world, they make my life so joyful. I have the sweetest, most thoughtful husband. I’m an eternal optimist who believes everything will work out, even in the hardest, darkest moments of life. And I believe deeply in the power of love to heal our world ☺️

Merry Christmas, dear ones. 🤍

As this year gently comes to a close, I keep finding myself thinking about the trust you placed in me, inviting me into some of the most meaningful moments of your lives.

From tear filled vows to laughter that echoed across mountains and lakes, it has been an honour beyond words to stand with you as you promised yourselves to one another. Your stories, your tenderness, your courage to love out loud, I carry it all with me.

To every couple who welcomed me in, who shared their nerves, their joy, their tears, and their hopes for what’s ahead: thank you. This work is sacred to me because of you.

However you’re marking today, in celebration or in stillness, with full tables or in deep rest, I hope you feel deeply held and deeply loved.

Wishing you a Christmas filled with warmth, ease, and moments that bring you joy.

Hi! I took a vacation but kept it local. I’ll never take for granted that both these magical places are basically in my backyard. If anyone ever wants to get married at mount Assiniboine or lake o’hara, please let me know!! ☺️❤️

If you’ve ever witnessed alpenglow, the moment when the sun brushes the mountain peaks with a blush of pink or gold just before it rises, or just after it sets, you know it feels almost otherworldly.
It’s fleeting, luminous, and fills you with emotion… just like the moments we gather in ceremony.

When I started this business, I knew I wanted a name that captured that same feeling; the way a ceremony can be full of warmth, light, and connection. How it makes us pause in wonder. How it can leave us GLOWING. And so, Alpenglow Ceremonies was born.

Right now, I’m in the thick of wedding season, and my to-do list is endless. But more than ever, I’m finding those moments to pause… and stand in wonder of it all.

Thinking of asking a friend or family member to officiate? It’s a sweet idea, but here’s my two cents on what a professional brings to the table:

✨ 1. Experience. I’ve officiated many weddings, and I’ve learned how to read the moment - when to pause, when to step aside for a first kiss, when to let the emotion rise and settle.

👩‍🎨 2. Ceremony craft. I’ve studied the art of ceremony. It’s not just about speaking clearly, it’s about creating meaning, momentum, and a shared emotional arc for you and your guests.

📸 3. Awareness of the moment. I know how to move with intention, how to stay out of the photographer’s shot, and how to hold the space with calm presence.

📝 4. Legal peace of mind. I make sure all the paperwork is completed properly and submitted promptly, no awkward hiccups, no missed signatures.

💛5. A gift to your loved ones. Your friend or cousin deserves to be fully present as a guest, not stressed behind a microphone. Let them laugh, cry, and celebrate with you.
