DJ Nash

DJ Nash Professional DJ since 2008 and I make sure you dance till the last beat of the song. All he requested was a laptop, and what happened next blew my mind.

My DJ Journey: From Inspiration to Passion

My story is quite an interesting one. Back in 2006-07, I was working for one of the largest telecommunications companies. We had an IT Day-out event at Jamuna Resort, and for the evening party, we hired a DJ. This DJ, with just his laptop, had over 100 people dancing like crazy. The energy was electric, and the way he controlled the crowd was amazing. A

s someone in IT, I was intrigued. While dancing, I couldn’t help but sneak a peek at the software he was using. My curiosity got the better of me, and I managed to get the DJ’s phone number. I wanted to learn more about what he was doing. However, when I mentioned this to people around me, including my wife, they said, “He’s a professional DJ, he won’t share anything with you.” I didn’t see why not. All I wanted was to know the name of the software so I could mess around with it at home. So, I called him. I expected a simple conversation, but instead, he spoke like he was the world’s best DJ and didn’t offer any real insights. The only thing he shared was the name of the software he was using, which he said was “expensive.” I was left speechless and hung up the phone, feeling a bit discouraged. That night, I looked at myself in the mirror and thought, “Why not? Let’s see just how expensive this software really is.” So, I turned to Google and, to my surprise, found many free DJ software versions, including the one the DJ had mentioned. I downloaded it and started practicing at night after work. During this time, I connected with the developers of the software—who happened to be DJs themselves. They were incredibly helpful and guided me on how to set things up and start remixing tracks. Encouraged by their support, I took my laptop and speakers to a family gathering on the rooftop of a hotel in Cox’s Bazar, the world’s longest sea beach. That event marked the beginning of my practice sessions and small parties. Fast forward to 2008, while attending a conference in Germany, I asked my boss if he could bring me a DJ console. He asked me three times, “Are you sure this is for you?” Laughing, I said, “Yes, boss, it’s for me!” So, my first DJ console came from Germany, and from that point on, I became the official DJ at my office. I played at numerous events, from birthdays and pre-wedding/holud ceremonies to private parties and New Year’s Eve celebrations. Someone once asked me what my biggest achievement as a DJ was. I told them, “When I see people genuinely enjoying the music I play and dancing until the very last beat, that’s when I feel like I’ve truly succeeded.”

I always make sure to follow the latest trends and understand the tastes of my audience before I start any gig. DJing has become a significant part of my life, and I can honestly say life is good as a DJ.

One of the best memories from my journey at Banglalink IT Day Out 2014 💙

One of the best phases of life—leading IT Business Assurance & Service Management during the day and becoming the DJ for every IT Day Out at night from 2008–2016.

This photo is from Banglalink IT Day Out 2014 at Rangamati Waterfront Resort, Gazipur.—a reminder that leadership is not only about work, targets and responsibilities.

It’s also about:
🔹 Building connections
🔹 Creating energy
🔹 Bringing people together
🔹 Creating memories beyond the workplace

Looking back, those moments taught me something important:

People may forget meetings and presentations, but they never forget how you made them feel.

Great memories, amazing people and unforgettable energy✨

✨ Thoughts of Future Me

One day,
the version of me I am becoming
will look back and smile at everything I survived quietly - while sitting peacefully on my yacht, watching the sunrise after surviving countless storms. 🌊

The sleepless nights.
The self-doubt.
The sacrifices nobody noticed.
The moments I wanted to give up but didn’t.

Future me will finally understand
why certain doors closed,
why certain people left,
and why patience was necessary.

Because growth is rarely loud.
Sometimes it looks like silence,
discipline,
healing,
and showing up even when life feels heavy.

Success is not only about reaching the destination —
it is about becoming the person capable of handling it with peace.

I may still be under construction,
but I am no longer who I used to be.

And that alone is progress. ☕✨
