As face painters, we don’t often talk about work safety.
�Most of what we share is the fun side, the kids, the colours, the joy. But behind the scenes, every event affects us more than people realise.

I used to feel completely drained after busy weekends. Hours of noise, crowds, bending forward, rushing, skipping meals, painting in the sun or wind… it adds up.

It wasn’t until I got a migraine that lasted three days that I finally understood how demanding this “fun job” can be. Since then, I’ve changed how I work

We rarely talk about the physical and mental toll behind artistic jobs, but we should. Caring for ourselves is part of the art 💛
When we look after our well-being backstage, we have more energy to spread joy on stage.
