THE STORY BEHIND GRABMYTIX
We know there are lots of online tickets platforms internationally but our we intended for our community.
“One idea. Two friends. One vision to connect communities around the world.”
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
GrabMytix began with a simple observation: Bhutanese producers and event organisers around the world needed a better way to connect with their audiences. Bhutanese communities are spread across Australia, the United States, Europe, Asia, and many other parts of the world. Yet buying tickets for Bhutanese events was often handled through messages, phone calls, personal contacts, or manual arrangements. We believed there had to be a better way. We asked ourselves:
“Why can't Bhutanese people anywhere in the world discover an event, buy a ticket online, and be part of the experience with just a few clicks?”
That question became the beginning of GrabMytix.
FROM AN IDEA TO ACTION
Rather than simply talking about the idea individually, myself and my friend Namgay Tshering decided to take action. Together, we took the initiative to introduce online ticketing for Bhutanese producers and events on a worldwide scale for the first time.
It started with a simple belief, our community deserved access to modern, convenient ticketing technology. What began as an idea between two friends slowly became a platform with a much bigger purpose.
THE SUPPORT OF OUR COMMUNITY
One of the most meaningful parts of the GrabMytix journey has been the support we have received from the Bhutanese community. Every producer who trusted us, every organiser who chose our platform, every customer who purchased a ticket, and everyone who shared and supported our work helped us move forward. Their support reminded us that GrabMytix was not just our idea anymore. It had become something our community could believe in and grow together.
FROM BHUTANESE EVENTS TO INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITIES
Today, we are incredibly proud to see how far that original idea has come. International universities and organisations are now also using the GrabMytix platform for their events. For us, this is a particularly meaningful milestone. What began with a vision focused on serving Bhutanese producers and communities has grown into a platform that is being trusted beyond our original community. It shows us that a solution created from a local need can have global potential.
OUR JOURNEY CONTINUES
We know this is only the beginning.
Our goal is to continue improving GrabMytix, supporting event organisers, and making ticketing simpler, more accessible, and more professional.
We are proud of where we started. We are grateful for everyone who supported us along the way. And we are even more excited about where we can go next.
