Pamela Bartlett began calisthenics at the age of seven and was selected for advanced Sub-Junior training the following year. She later competed in Western Australian Junior, Intermediate and Senior State Teams at Ballarat.
Pamela began assistant coaching before taking on her first Sub-Junior team at 15โand they won the championship. From that moment, she was hooked on coaching. Over the past 50 years, she has coached many successful performers and teams at both state and interstate levels.
At 19, Pamela established her own club with 12 Sub-Juniors. It quickly grew to include five Sub-Junior teams, a Junior team, three Intermediate teams and two Senior teams, progressing from C Grade to B Grade and then A Grade, with many wonderful achievements along the way. The club will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year.
Pamela began assisting the State Sub-Junior Team at 17 and later coached winning Sub-Junior and Junior teams at Ballarat. She has been involved in the National Championships since their inception and has won three Intermediate State Team titles in Canberra, Darwin and South Australia.
At 22, Pamela began adjudicating as part of an experimental panel of five in Western Australia. She has continued to adjudicate across most states, both independently and as part of a panel. Her favourite event to adjudicate has been the Pan Pacific Masters Games in Queensland.
A proud life member of CAWA, Pamela has a great love for calisthenics. She looks forward to adjudicating at this wonderful Senior National Tier Competition and wishes all the dedicated competitors and coaches an amazing time on stage.
