And just like that… the 2026/27 Perth wedding season is officially underway 🥂

Started the day in full family mode, exploring Bells Rapids and getting a little dusty on a bushwalk… and finished it dressed up, smack bang in the middle of QT Perth kicking off another season of doing what I bloody love.

The juxtaposition is not lost on me 😂

From bush trails to beautiful weddings in the space of a few hours. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Perth wedding season, I am SO ready for you. Let’s go 💃🏼✨

What actually is an elopement? 🤍
If your answer is “just the couple”... I think it’s time we rewrote the definition.
This was an elopement.
They left tradition behind, disappeared into the city, brought only their favourite humans, chose a wicked venue, an incredible photographer, and created one hell of a marriage ceremony.
Everyone else found out afterwards.
No seating chart for 120 guests.
No pressure to please everyone.
No traditions they didn’t believe in.
Watching their little humans soaking up every moment only reinforced one thing...Good choice!
And before you think “small wedding”... take another look.
The florals were absolute works of art - – I’ve never felt so privileged to be in the presence of flora 😂😂. Every detail felt intentional, bold and completely them. There wasn’t a single moment that felt like they were settling for less.
Nothing about this day whispered, “We’re keeping it small.”
It simply said,
“We’re doing it our way.”

Happy Anniversary, you two. ❤️
Just over a year ago , we stood on a stage in front of theatre-style seating, and I’ll admit… it felt a little intimidating for about 30 seconds.

Then it just made sense.

It wasn’t a traditional wedding ceremony. It was their wedding ceremony. Every choice reflected who they were, and that’s exactly how it should be.

One of my favourite parts of being a Perth wedding celebrant is seeing couples rewrite the rule book and create a ceremony that’s completely, unapologetically them.

Every now and then someone asks me, “Can we just keep the ceremony really short?”

And every time, a tiny part of my celebrant soul dies. 😂

Not because I think ceremonies need to be long.

But because I think they’ve been given a bad reputation.

Somewhere along the way, we’ve accepted that the ceremony is just the thing that happens before the drinks.

I don’t buy that for a second.

I want your ceremony to be the moment that has your guests laughing, crying, nudging each other and saying, “That was SO them.”

The reception is where you celebrate your marriage.

The ceremony is where everyone falls in love with your story.

And that’s the bit I never want people to just “get through.” ❤️

Take a breath (and save this post 🤍).

Winter might actually be one of the BEST times to start planning your wedding.

Not because vendors are desperate for bookings (we’re not 😆), but because winter often gives you more time, more conversations and more support while you’re figuring out what you actually want.

And if you’re at the “we have absolutely no idea where to start” stage, you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.

This might be the most accurate representation of me that has ever existed 😂☕️💻
Slightly off-peak season for this busy little celebrant means finally getting my ducks in a row while surviving purely on coffee, playlists and ✨vibes✨.
I still have a beautiful wedding this weekend down Warehouse in Freo and another gorgeous one next weekend out , but things are juuust quiet enough right now for me to sit down with my lappy and attempt to become an organised human again.
The terrifying part is how accurately this captured my entire personality:
💖 coffee in hand
💖 emotionally attached to my laptop
💖 47 tabs open
💖 celebrant brain running at 300km/h
💖 making lists about the lists
💖 trying to “just quickly do one thing” for 4 hours straight
Also… every single detail is accurate except it’s a bit chilly for this summer lovin gal.
