Look closely and you will find the same shape everywhere.

That soft vintage shape is the thread we ran through Chloe and Travers' day, cut into the reserved cards lining the ceremony, echoed on the table numbers, drawn again on the bar. One silhouette, carried across every piece, so the whole wedding feels made by a single hand.

Cutting a card to shape is a small decision that does quiet, enormous work. It is the difference between a set of signs and a suite.

Olive and white met guests at the gate on a raw-edged linen banner, walked them to their seats on the chart, and waited at the bar on a sign cut to shape. Nothing added, nothing competing. Just one palette, trusted completely, from the first sign to the last.

The bar is the one sign everyone forgets, and the one place everyone gathers. So it is worth dressing. A shaped drinks menu, an olive edge, a satin bow, the monogram carried over from the invitation. The same suite that met them at the door, waiting for them at the first drink.

That soft, feathered edge you keep saving has a name, and two ways to make it.

A true deckle edge is the natural edge of a cotton stock, and here is the part worth knowing. That paper is handmade, so the colour, the texture and the feathering shift from batch to batch, and once a batch is gone it is gone. Your suite is quite literally made from paper that will never exist again.

A hand-torn edge is torn by hand after printing, on any stock you like. Same soft look, made a different way. Between the two, no two pieces are ever the same.

Neither is better than the other. One comes from the paper, one comes from the hand 🤍 Send us your board and we will find you the right one.

Not the one placed into an envelope and sent to two hundred guests. A second, quieter copy, set aside from the very start and printed just for the two of you.

Not because it needs explaining, but because years from now, when the day itself has settled into memory, it's often the smallest things people reach for first. The handwriting on a card. The date.
