City Summit is like no other centre in WA. With over 40 top rope stations, 6 dedicated lead walls and one of the tallest bouldering walls in Australia, City Summit stands in a league of its own. While the centre was built by climbers for climbers, the staff’s passion does not stop there. City Summit is active in developing climbing as a sport in Western Australia and putting our climbing athletes on a national stage. We are currently working closely with local schools to bring climbing into the general curriculum and have successfully helped young people with not only development of climbing skills but experience in team work, trust and building of self confidence. All new climbers at the centre are welcomed by our friendly staff and taken through a full induction on climbing skills and correct belay techniques to ensure optimum safety and enjoyment during your time at the centre. Climbing is also available to children aged from 5 years with child safety harnesses available. Once you feel confident on the wall you can start to tackle our graded climbs ranging from pure beginners right through to advanced climbers up to grade. Our toughest climb is a grade 36 and is structured to replicate part of the Dreamcatcher climb in Cacodemon Boulder in British Colombia. There is still prize money available to the first person to complete this climb. If you are climbing solo our boulder wall is among the tallest in the country and boasts some impressive angles to get you working hard. With weekly resets throughout the year there is always something fresh to climb. We also offer a forum on Facebook to help you find a climbing partner. After you climb you can hit the showers available onsite or grab something to eat from the Summit Lounge. No matter what your goal, City Summit can help you with advice, classes and facilities. Our café extends to a mezzanine viewing area where you can enjoy your food or watch the action on the climbing walls. Our café also includes a private functions area that is perfect to host your child next party or a corporate team building day. Our ProShop is fully stocked with a great range of the latest pro gear where our staff can help fit you in the right gear, at the right size for the right price. Instructors are always on hand to assist you as a beginner or help you with advanced climbing techniques with advice on completing set routes.
