At this wedding the ring got caught on the dog’s lead… and suddenly we had a small situation on our hands.

So I did what any celebrant would do, slipped off my own eternity band and handed it to the groom so we could keep the ceremony flowing while the real ring was rescued. Problem solved.

Here’s the thing though, little hiccups happen at weddings. No matter how much planning goes into the day, something unexpected will pop up somewhere along the line.

What really matters is having the right people around you who can stay calm, think quickly and keep the moment moving so it still feels effortless and joyful for you and your guests.

And honestly, moments like this often become the stories everyone laughs about later.

The day is still incredible, the ceremony still means everything, and the marriage still happens.

Carrena ignored Kyle’s first message on Instagram… for two whole weeks. 😅
