Some weddings just feel like sunshine, and Talisha and Joel’s was one of them. Calm, genuine, and full of those in-between moments that tell the real story of the day.

If you had told 20 year old me that one day I’d leave my job, pivot completely and end up in a career that feels more like purpose than work, I never would have believed you.

But here we are. In my 30s, working as a marriage celebrant, spending my days meeting incredible couples, writing love stories and standing beside people on one of the biggest moments of their lives.

This job feels like magic. It feels like connection. It feels like I finally landed exactly where I was meant to be.

Sometimes the pivot is the best part of the journey. 💜

Working from home as a marriage celebrant means lunch needs to be quick, easy and actually delicious… and this one always hits the spot.

It’s a little recipe I adapted from my Coffee Club days, way back before I was a celebrant, a mum or even remotely interested in the guy who kept getting rostered on shifts with me. Funny how life works out.

Now every time I make it, it feels like a mini throwback to where our whole story started… caffeine, uniforms, and two people who definitely didn’t expect to end up here.

There’s something so special about helping couples write their personal vows.

Watching two people put their hearts into words, and then trusting me enough to share them before the big day, gets me every time.

I’m there to help them find the balance, heartfelt but not too heavy, romantic but still them. And when they absolutely nail it? Cue the happy sigh and a big “I love it!” moment from me.
