Well, what an absolute delight to be the wing woman for Granny Trudy today!

Trudy flew in from South Africa and had the enormous privilege of “marrying” her granddaughter Chelsea to Joe this afternoon at Coast, Port Beach.

There was something truly beautiful and deeply authentic about this ceremony — and I have no doubt Granny Trudy will be smiling for years to come as this precious moment becomes one of her most treasured memories.

I’m all for doing weddings this way.

If you have a special family member or friend you’d love to give the honour of leading your ceremony, I can be right there alongside them, taking care of all the legal requirements while they take centre stage. 🤍

💙 MY BIRTHDAY WISH: 100 COFFEES FOR RIVER

September is my birthday month. August was River’s. 💙

And this year, that has made me think a little differently about what I might wish for.

So I have a birthday challenge… and I’d LOVE your help.

I’m looking for 100 friends to shout me a birthday coffee ☕️

Except—I don’t actually want the coffee.

In August last year, I had the deep privilege of coming alongside River’s incredible family as they said farewell to their perfect little boy ❤️‍🩹

Throughout this past month, River’s beautiful mum has generously shared his story with us—showing us how joyfully he lived and introducing us to the magical, sweet little boy he was. (Instagram )

River was diagnosed with DMG, an aggressive form of childhood brain cancer, and within weeks, his family faced the unimaginable heartbreak of saying goodbye.

This September, River’s Race is raising vital funds for DMG/DIPG research, helping researchers continue their work towards better treatments—and ultimately, a cure.

August was River’s birthday, and September is mine 🫶

So, on this first day of September, I’m signing up for River’s Race with my beautiful family… and I’m boldly asking our friends, colleagues and anyone else who feels moved by River’s story to make a donation in his honour.

The goal is to raise $100,000, and an incredible $73,658 has already been raised.

So, if you were going to wish me a happy birthday this month, would you consider making a donation to this incredibly important cause?

There’s something pretty special about working alongside a team who are completely in sync. ✨

On Saturday at Chapel Farm, this wonderful crew came together to create the most magical experience for Rob + Mandy.

Not a glitch. Not a fuss. Just everyone quietly doing what they do best, working seamlessly alongside one another and making the whole day feel effortless.

It really was one of those “teamwork makes the dream work” kind of days — and an absolute delight to be part of.

Beautiful people. Brilliant at what they do. And such a joy to work alongside. 🤍

It may have been one of Perth’s coldest winter days, with rain, hail and icy winds sweeping across the coast… but nothing was going to stop this magical moment for Kelli and Sigmar.�
And then, just when it mattered, the clouds parted and the sun shone through. ☀️�
From first meeting aboard a Swedish cruise in 2018 to standing together beside the ocean 3,110 days later, surrounded by the people who mean so much to them, Kelli and Sigmar promised to continue that journey side by side — now as husband and wife.�
Congratulations, may married life bring you many more adventures and a lifetime of sunshine breaking through. 🤍�

One of the greatest privileges of being a celebrant is hearing couples say, “The ceremony felt like us.”

That’s always my hope.

Every ceremony I write begins with a blank page and is shaped around your story, your values and what matters most to you.

For Hannah & Aaron, that meant creating a ceremony that reflected their relationship, included a scripture reading, a prayer of blessing, and incorporated a handfasting that was deeply meaningful to them.
