From acclaimed director Steven Soderbergh, this sharp black comedy stars Ian McKellen as Julian Sklar, once a star of London's 60s and 70s pop art explosion but now broke and living in seclusion, having not painted in years.

When his estranged children hire a struggling painter, played by Michaela Coel, to gain access to a valuable series of unfinished works, the result is a deliciously clever story of art, legacy, greed and pride.

With a brilliant cast including Jessica Gunning and James Corden, The Christophers is a stylish comedy-drama about who gets to decide what art is worth.

✨ What a glorious Friday night! 🎶

Fabulous music, incredible energy and the most wonderful community spirit filled the room. A huge thank you to The Shannanigans, Dan, Jade, Janette, and the entire Kinema Team. Your hard work, passion and mentorship have us feeling ready to take on more live events alongside our fantastic film program!

A very special shoutout goes to the wonderful Jade Griffiths, who marked her final official day at the Kinema in the most fitting way possible: surrounded by music, laughter and the community she helped build. What an incredible era from you and your family. You will be deeply missed at the helm, though we look forward to hosting you!

And as a cherry on top, together we raised over $1,000 for the Tilba Halls Project Fund https://gofund.me/947f41c1d, now reflected in their online campaign totals. A little gift from one beautiful old building to another. 🏛️❤️

Special 'Housewarming Gift' from a very thoughtful member! Apparently upon seeing this light at a popular local vendor, he considered 'The Kinema' to be just the place for it!

The current focus of this beauty is on the 'Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu' poster (film out tomorrow!) and we have many other ideas and uses for the future.
