Maitland Repertory Theatre is calling for expressions of interest from potential directors to direct 3 plays in 2027.
The plays are:
- "Thursday’s Child" adapted from the book by Sonya Hartnett - 9 shows: Sep 15 to Oct 3, 2027
- "Tons of Money" by Evans/Valentine adapted by Alan Ayckbourn - 9 shows: Nov 17 to Dec 5, 2027
- "Treasure Island" (our junior production) by R L Stevenson, adapted by Joseph George Caruso - 9 or 10 shows: July 14 to August 1, 2027

Starting the Week Strong in Bellambi 💪

Every child should be able to start their day with a healthy breakfast and have a packed lunch for school.

That’s why I’m so pleased to continue to support Bellambi Neighbourhood Centre in providing breakfast and a packed lunch each weekday for preschoolers through to Year 12 students who need it.

This is about so much more than food. It’s about making sure kids start the day feeling, cared for, supported and ready to learn.

The incredible work of Bellambi Neighbourhood Centre, together with the warm welcome from the dedicated staff and volunteers, makes a real and lasting difference to our local families.

We’re putting more nurses in hospitals through our expansion of the Safe Staffing Levels rollout!

Planning is now underway to implement the next phase of Safe Staffing Levels, which will be a ratio of 1 nurse to 4 patients in medical, surgical and specialty wards in NSW public hospitals.

This is better for staff and better for patients and will relieve pressure on our hospitals that face increasing numbers of presentations each day.

Members of the NSW Nurses and Midwives' Association have campaigned for these generational reforms for well over a decade. I'm very grateful for the nurses and midwives who continue to advocate for their patients and push for a better health system.

We’ve already recruited 900 nurses for safe staffing ratios in emergency departments, now with this announcement, we’ll be supporting more nurses and their patients right across our hospitals.

We're establishing NSW’s first statewide High Volume Surgical Centre at Northern Beaches Hospital.

This new centre will deliver an additional 5000 surgeries every year to help reduce surgical wait times and ease demand on some of the busiest hospitals across the state.

This is a win for the Northern Beaches community and for patients right across NSW.
