A big thank you to all the small businesses that donated in the last couple hours - it has been a hectic afternoon trying to sort this event, but aren't we proud that we've pulled it off with local support!

💙 A DAY FOR DADS – FATHER’S DAY 2026 💙

🌭 FREE BBQ / Smoked Meats • Sports • Games • Good Company
Father’s Day is a day of celebration for many, but for others it can be one of the hardest days of the year.
This Father’s Day, we’re holding a FREE community event for anyone who may be doing it tough.
This day is for dads who won’t get to see their children, people who have lost their dad or another loved one, those without a father figure in their lives, widowed partners, and anyone struggling with family separation, mental health, grief, loneliness or difficult circumstances.
Come down to Rustic Waters from 12pm–4pm for a smoked meat and BBQ feed, sports, games, a chat and some good company.
There’s no judgement and no pressure to talk about what you’re going through. Sometimes just being around other people who understand that life can be tough is enough.
Until further approval from council, this event will have a capped amount.
While this event is free, we simply ask the wider community to respect what the day is about and leave the event for those who may genuinely benefit from it.
Any donations from local businesses will be greatly appreciated.
We will have money boxes set up during the day for those that wish to contribute towards venue, food and mental health groups.

We just wanted to say a very big thank you to Jason and the Red Dog Brewery Team for all their efforts in making the 2026 High Tide Festival an absolute success! They did a tremendous job setting up this community event, and Jason even grabbed some more wings for us to keep cooking!

Another big thank you goes to Tendercuts Meat Mackay for opening the shop back up late on a Saturday night and delivering some more meat for us to put in the smoker.

To our workers - you were superstars! Thank you for all coming in last minute when other staff had to pull out (and not only that, we had staff work with us for the first time! What legends!)

Well done to all the other food vendors & Brewery stalls. Everyone absolutely crushed it 💯👊.

And last of all, thank you to everyone who attended. We know the wait for food was long, but we were just overwhelmed by the support of everyone there! With other food vendors pulling out last minute, the pressure was on and we are so proud of our team 👏.

The decision isn't made lightly, but we want to provide quick & good service to our customers.
