14 years ago today Brittany Jane walked down an aisle to Eva Cassidy’s Songbird and told me she loved me and she’d always love me.

Then we made out in front of our families, Paul Bamford Wedding Photographer made photos, Ash Punch made a beautiful speech, and we talked about the future together.

That’s something I often forget, that the today we live and love is the forever we breathed into existence in a Gold Coast park.

The wedding industry is weird. You put yourself out there as someone that could do a thing, hoping and praying that people would ask you to do the thing and pay you for it.

You get the email, record a video to reply with or write a reply, and about 1/4 say yes, 1/4 you’re not available for, 1/4 you never hear from again, and 1/4 tell you you’re “too expensive”.

Having the knowledge about what it costs to be in business today I know I’m not too expensive, but reading these notes from Luna and Goldie today on Fathers Day tells me I don’t charge enough to spend every weekend away from them.

Gosh it’s a blessing to be their dad.
