For musicians-to-be who love rhythm and can't stop tapping along to a beat!

To those who might clang on the odd pot or pan 🍳... there's more to percussion than just the drum kit!

A percussionist has opportunities galore in music.

There's low timpani bass notes and drum roles in the grandest of orchestra moments, and the ringing of chimes, a triangle, guira or tambourine -- not to mention the wide-open world that is mallets and keys: marimba, xylophone, and glockenspiel. 🥁

If you are learning an instrument at CVCon, you needn't learn it alone.

Individual practice is incredibly important, but so is playing with others.

After all, the music which might be your favourite to play might have more parts and there's only one of you!

CVCon has Group Programs for every musician to follow their talent and their curiosity.

If you learn saxophone, for example, you have access to:
🎺 Concert Band with Peter Morgan
🥁 Jazz Ensemble with Peter Morgan
🎷 Sax Ensemble with Peter Morgan
... 🤘and perhaps even Rock Band with Wesley Chegwidden

But, that's just the Sax!

Whatever the instrument, there's an ensemble for every student.

Building an interest in music starts with fun, friendly spaces for young kids to be curious and playful.

And when you're young, being surrounded by friends, a great teacher, and the instruments to play your first musical notes with is oh-so helpful!

That's why CVCon's Pre-Instrument classes were created. If you want a little help making music feel fun for your children aged 5-8 years old, join in.

As they enjoy the weekly 30 minute classes of general music, keyboard, guitar, drums and recorder in groups of 3 - 6 students per class, they discover music at their own pace.

Soon enough, they'll be itching to try what's next. And we wonder what instrument that might be? 🎹 / 🎸 / 🎤
