The Betta® Milk Royal Hobart Show 2026..

This year, the Royal Hobart Show will remain at the Regatta Grounds and City Hall. Although a 2026 return to our home was explored, assessments showed significant funding, staffing, logistics and preparation requirements needed to safely stage the full event this year.

You will still see activity returning to the Glenorchy Showground in 2026 with additional animal judging held on site as we progressively test the new layout, facilities and operations ahead of reopening. Two major new buildings are expected to be ready later this year, however the broader redevelopment, including the arena and surrounding infrastructure will still be under construction.

Looking ahead, the Royal Agricultural Society of Tasmania plans to return the full Royal Hobart Show to the Hobart Showground in 2027, subject to construction continuing on schedule.

We appreciate the community’s patience during our redevelopment and look forward to bringing the Royal Hobart Show back HOME in 2027 ✨
