Come as you are. We mean it.

Some days I'm in activewear and a hoodie. Some days I'm dressed up and client facing. Either way, I'm showing up to Cowork + Create exactly as I am that day, and so is everyone else here.

You don't need to be a certain type of business person, in a certain industry, or dressed a certain way to belong here. This isn't a sterile corporate office. It's your space, an extension of your own work routine, whether that means popping in a couple of times a week or being here every single day. Weather you come in your best "Customer meeting outfit" or you come in an Oodie!?

However you work, however you show up, you're welcome here. Come see for yourself.

What does "work better, closer to home" actually mean?

For me, it's not really about the kilometres.

It's about what those kilometres give back to you.

Maybe it's being able to do school drop-off and still be at your desk on time.

Maybe it's getting to the gym before work.

Making an appointment locally without losing half your day.

Having dinner with your family instead of sitting in traffic.

Or simply being able to shut the laptop, leave your workspace and actually feel like work has FINISHED for the day.

I learnt this firsthand.

Working from home sounded amazing until home and work slowly became the same place. I'd edit on the couch, work at the kitchen bench and constantly feel like I should be doing either work OR house stuff, usually while doing neither particularly well. 😂

Having somewhere separate to work changed that for me.

And it's a huge part of why Cowork + Create exists.

You shouldn't necessarily have to travel into Melbourne to have a professional workplace.

We've got a pretty bloody great city right here.

Reflecting on last weeks celebrations of the finalists of the 2026 Wyndham Business Awards.
Cowork + Create is up for Business Service Excellence, and somehow I'm also a finalist for Business Person of the Year.
Cheeks sore from smiling, two giant certificates under my arm, and they're going straight up on display at Cowork + Create!
Man I’m proud to be part of this community! When I first stepped out on my own in business, one of the things I didn’t realise I would miss was having a team around me. I’d always worked with people. I had work friends, colleagues, people to bounce ideas off and people who understood the everyday highs and lows of work. Then suddenly it was just me.
But somewhere along the way, the Wyndham business community became my team. 💛
I’ve found friendships here. Mentors. Clients who have become friends. People who have opened doors for me, challenged me, encouraged me, recommended me, collaborated with me and sometimes just given me the little push of confidence I needed to have a crack.
And hopefully I’ve been able to do the same for plenty of others along the way.
That’s probably why this whole awards experience means so bloody much to me. Yes, I would LOVE to win. I’m not going to pretend I wouldn’t. 😂
But being recognised alongside the businesses and people in that room already feels like such a huge win! Especially those from our Coworking crew!!!
Bring on October for the gala night!

A year ago, Shalini and her team at Nurse Next Door Werribee were working out of cafes and libraries. This year, they moved into their own private office at Cowork + Create.

"We started off working from cafes and libraries, then progressed to hiring the meeting room at Cowork + Create occasionally, then got a permanent desk, and now we have our own private office space," Shalini told me. "Looking back, it actually reflects the growth of our business journey over the past year."

That's what coworking is meant to do. No five year lease before you know what you need, just room to grow into the space as your business does.

"It's improved our productivity enormously, given our team a collaborative place to meet, and created a really professional and positive environment for us to continue growing in," Shalini said. "We're genuinely very proud of how far we've come."

Shalini was caring for people long before she had a job title for it.

She became a carer for her dad when she was young, and that's where her passion for healthcare started. Almost eight years into nursing now, she's a Registered Nurse, Clinical Director and co-owner of Nurse Next Door Werribee.

A lot of people hear the name and assume it's just nursing visits. It covers a lot more ground than that: help getting showered and dressed, meals, company, respite for families, and complex clinical care like wound management, PEG feeding and palliative support, delivered at home across Melbourne's west and parts of Geelong.

Shalini's one of our coworking crew here at Cowork + Create, and we love having her in the space.

What a great morning celebrating some of our incredible Cowork + Create members!

Today, Fathi from MMACS and Eugene, Shalini and the Nurse Next Door Werribee team welcomed the two independent judges to Cowork + Create as part of the 2026 Wyndham Business Awards judging process for their finalist categories.

It was so special to have both finalist businesses together in the space they call work, alongside our judges and Cowork + Create community. A huge thank you to the Nurse Next Door team for putting on a beautiful morning tea and helping make everyone feel so welcome.

Watching our members absolutely kick goals and now be recognised at the Wyndham Business Awards honestly fills my cup. Moments like this are exactly why I started Cowork + Create. Seeing businesses that work alongside each other every day being celebrated for the incredible work they do is something really special, and I couldn't be happier for these amazing teams.

To all of this year's finalists, congratulations! Enjoy every moment of the journey over the coming weeks, soak it all in, celebrate how far you've come, and most importantly... have fun.
We can't wait to celebrate with you all at the Wyndham Business Awards in October.

We’ve got some pretty exciting news to share…

Cowork + Create has officially been named a finalist in the Business Service Excellence category at the 2026 Wyndham Business Awards!

When I started Cowork + Create, my dream wasn’t only to create a place for people to get their best work work. It was to create a place where businesses could grow. Where people could build genuine relationships, back one another, collaborate, celebrate the wins and have a community cheering them on. (Or at least me cheering them on! Hehe)
