Fresh fish caught that very day in the waters of Bathers Beach, Joanna’s homemade bread fresh from the oven, Irish songs filling the room, and an evening shared through laughter, stories and music by the sea. 🌊🎶🍞

✨Last Thursday we were delighted to sponsor the Fenian Festival, commemorating the remarkable story of the US whaling ship Catalpa and its secret mission to Fremantle to rescue six Irish freedom fighters: the Fenians.

It was a special honour to have Jim Ryan from New Bedford with us, the great-great grandson of Captain George Anthony.

A beautiful evening of camaraderie, solidarity and fine music by and friends.

Congratulations to Margo O’Byrne, Felicity Dillon, Nadine McGill, Jim Kelly, John Clare, and all the Fenian Festival committee.
