31.1.26–> for the first cab home for the year we’re cruising into a puritanically LIVE event that skirts the edges of music you know, love and have never heard before.

Over at CC HQ we are still pinching ourselves that the kernel of the eve should be Artificial (a.k.a Nicole Skeltys), an artist who has released across the temporal and aural plane. We’ve experienced her projects as feeling out liminal sounds; serenely staunch IDM, acidic boppers and tinkling jingles to have you twirling into the early morning. You may have crossed paths with her music under the guise of B(if)tek (with Kate Crawford), an essential staple of nineties & noughties Aus. It’s true that tweeny Circuit Central was raised on nothing but a Saturday morning bowl of cornflakes and an endless loop of Biffers on Rage.

There’s too much to say about the special musicians who will be sewing the sonic quilt before Artificial. Lia T & Lyndon Blue will teach us new things about the viola, a presumed dubbed out exploration of Basic Mind with Clouds Come Rain, the syrupy hip shakers of Blood Knows, and a moment pouring one out for our favourite kind of surface with Dedicated Floor.

As always, loving you all too much for gassing up these events- we’re taking a temporary pause from parties after this one so would love to give you all a big squeeze on the 31st @ PS.

27.12.25—> against all odds we’ve made it to the final episode of our psycho saison. As the year takes its last breaths we deliver our concluding gift of 2025, the double trouble of Karine & Shakolin.

Training on the fertile soil of the Ukrainian scene, these two deejays are independently known for their impeccable style and energy. Together, they ascend through love as the Minimal Overlords™️ of tweaked and funky trax. We’ve heard rumours that the 27th holds a five hour masterclass of percussive stompers under that low slung warehouse ceiling.

On opening duties is local legend and fellow schemer Mobias. Allegedly he’s in possession of some highly classy clicks, clacks & beyond to lubricate your joints.

Should you successfully complete your eight hour good behaviour bond, Brie & Jaz will round out this session of couples therapy into the (???) hours of the morning.

Only a few more sleeps before Hicham guides us through a circadian transit at ⚠️

For those unfamiliar with Hicham’s sound he’s known to build vast synaesthetic vistas of 80s and 90s analogue influences. His sets are dynamic and seductive…perfectly paired for a moment of syzygy between our lunar bodies.

We will be nestled deep in the inner courtyard, a grassy knoll bolstered by the limestone walls of the gallery.

Tickets are moving quick, and this will be a moment we can’t recreate 🌠

CIRCUIT CENTRAL 2ND BIRTHDAY!
What better way to celebrate than heading back to the Old Customs House laneway where we did one of our first parties. We’ve planned a free party to say thanks to YOU for all of the enthusiastic support so far, between 12:00-16:30 on 13.12.25 (before we all trot off to Hicham). We have a stacked lineup of special friends who will be showing off a variety of musical talents while we grill some delicious snax on the BBQ under the sun!

We highly recommend pairing this with a stroll up the road to Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre shortly after at 17:00-22:00 where we will be taking over the inner courtyard, nestled between limestone walls and riding five hours of Hicham! For those who recall last year’s warehouse party in the half pipe, Hicham is a unique selector who pours his heart into his music. We feel very lucky to host him for the second time, but this time under the sun/sunset/moon!

Thanks again to everyone who makes these parties possible, and letting us go psycho mode this next month 🌀

Bisous! Jaz & Bri x

13.12.25–> HICHAM

After an indelible première voyage to Australia last year, Hicham is back for round two.

For those who aren’t already besotted after the idiosyncratic 2024 warehouse stomp (!) Hicham is a tireless and obsessed digger who found his first love in the raves of Brussels. He constructs vast and enduring synaesthetic vistas of 80s and 90s analog influences, leaving dancers with no choice but to be totally seduced by Hicham’s sound. It’s a known pleasure to watch him diligently navigate the spaces between the ethereal and eccentric...joyful, gritty, expansive.

On December 13th 17:00, we will be locking into a five hour exchange with Hicham as the sun sets over the limestone bricks of Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre’s inner courtyard.

Tickets available via Oztix.

Many a fantastical party had down under the old Swan Hotel… Let it be known, the time has finally come for another! The passionate Europhiles at Backtrack, Circuit Central, and Oochie Koochie represent the Perth Massive with: Loose Strands, an extendo afternoonvning of uncut adventure at the loudest basement in town; a triple header of travelling wax wizards hailing from The Continent’s best kept secret… The wet and wild lands of Belgium.

Belgium fries low and slow under the global radar. Beneath the muted skies and down the cobbled streets, burning away within her gritty heartland stands the utterly inconspicuous city of Brussels. Centuries of serious celebration have imbued her with an intangible zest… pizzazz… magic. Musical artefacts not-found-on-YouTube flow through town like space through time, and on the fringes - though central to it all - a devout circle of collectors pluck, pick, and place these supernatural spinning plates at the city’s frequent dance music rituals.

Straight from the source, DJ Rino and Kuba’97 make their debut on our red dirt, accompanied by good friend and West Coast favourite, Walrus, back for seconds! Three of the heads behind the most notorious Brusselian ceremony, Beautiful Freaks, ready to make good on their Austral Summer. Come and indulge yourself in three bags full of their exceptionally well researched tastes.

We can only hope you’re as excited as they are. This is one for the boeken.

🆗‼️
What a totally jam packed summer it’s been so far (fun). In a brief moment of reflection we thought we would share a few slices of our last two parties that creeped up to us in pretty quick succession.
29th Dec was a charged up blast, packing out 201 with our ears full of Senate, YuBu + Vlada. 10th Jan felt like an intimate stomp in our lounge room (you know we’ve had a few) with music shared from some beautiful old and new friends- Jonboz, Bruna, Reece Walker + Carl H.
We were lucky enough to get some incredible live/archival/created lighting from JJ + Francis to make good use of the double decker LED screens that had us taking a dive down the wormhole.

From the bottom of our hearts/souls/feet/fingers thanks to all the artists who made long & short journeys to come share your impeccable taste with us! And to all who come through to any of our parties to dance, you’re the ones who make it

A year after Jane Fitz @ 201 Below, Circuit Central brings you three special guests⛓️‍💥

VLADA
From the fertile ground of classical piano training and a father bent on collecting jazz comes Vlada, a Russian-born DJ with inimitable taste. Vlada started searching for records as a teen, resulting in a musical ecology that explores rarely heard slices of laid back techno, electro and churning psychedelia. Her dance floor sound is perambulating and rhythmic, with cryptic melodies slipped between the kick. Sometimes you’ll find a melancholic synth, or quite reliably, a dark and elastic bassline that hypnotizes each dancer to perform their staunchest jig.

Now based in Berlin, Vlada devotes her time to party , playing the cream of the festival circuit (Waking Life/Dekmantel/Houghton/Dimensions to name a few) and soundtracking the clubs we dream of.

SENATE
A pair that need no introduction for those versed in Boorloo-born electronic music; Senate is a project spawned by Reece Walker (R.A.N.D. Muzik Recordings boss, now firmly grounded in Leipzig) and Alex Campbell (prolific through his Consulate alias, currently based in Naarm after trodding the transnullabor migration route). Pounding bass overlayed with industrial distortions and metallic breaks could transport you to a post-apocalyptic production line, but instead we find rhythmic reprieve…laconic naughtiness…time to dance!!

It’s been five years since Senate showed us what’s good on home turf, and by all reports their last display had the throng stomping til early morning. Don’t miss this upcoming round on the Senators’ lustral rota, or 2029 may be your next opportunity.

YuBu
One half of Amsterdam based party collective (with co-conspirator ), YuBu has spent 10 years investigating the crates of Europe. Weaving his clarified sound through iconic parties & clubs including Breakfast Club, De School or Laak, you’re likely to witness a skillful expedition between tech-house, breaks, techno and progressive moments. Between these metered rhythms lies a pared back and molten sultriness…YuBu is a totally rarefied selector.
