We’re beyond thrilled to welcome Serenity Sound System from Toulouse, France, making their Australian debut on our Red Earth Sound at the FREO DUB CLUB: 2ND BIRTHDAY BASH !

France is home to one of the world’s richest reggae, dub & sound system cultures - and it’s within this fertile ground that Serenity was born. Formed in 2022 by two reggae lovers - one a sound engineer, the other a carpenter - their passion grew into a beautiful handmade sound system dedicated to spreading reggae music in its most authentic form.

Since then, they’ve been immersed in France’s heavyweight culture: hosting dances across the southwest, playing festivals, and building a reputation for heartfelt sessions shaped by roots & culture.

🌿 At their core, Serenity are a Roots Reggae Sound System. Their selection runs deep - rare roots, exclusive dubplates, and soulful vibrations!! Their sessions are journeys: uplifting, emotional, and charged with heavyweight basslines. Expect enchanting melodies, fiery dances, and pure unity through sound. πŸ’›β€οΈπŸ’š

This shining soul is always full of power, cheek and chaos, and let's be frank - the Red Earth wouldn't be the same without Mikey's can-do approach to life and humble love for community. He's well and truly the best wildcard any team could have and one of the best friends we could wish for!

From mic man & versatile selecta to building, lugging and running speakers, to spending approximately half of his life under water - this merman never stops to surprise you and was truly born to burn down Babylon's citadel with his mind & hands.

Over the past few months, SUB-TRIBE have become a staple in our Red Earth kosmos. No hype - just pure, deep, 6-piece reggae & dub fire from NZ, now Sydney-based. We blast their tunes in the car, at crew catch-ups, and drop them in our sets as a secret weapon.

We’ve been dreaming of booking interstate and international bands for a while now β€” and we’re finally making it happen. So, it’s only right to lock Sub-Tribe in as the headline act for our 2-year Freo Dub Club Birthday Bash. And while they’re here, why not launch the South West Dub Club with them too? This is our biggest birthday yet - Stoked doesn’t cover it!

Meet Sub-Tribe:
From the raw, roots-driven frequencies of Aotearoa (New Zealand) comes this 6-piece powerhouse. Sub-Tribe roll in thick with glitchy beats, deep bass, and soaring harmonies, blending dub, reggae, jazz-hop, and ragga dancehall to create a fresh and irresistible sound.

A magical night & the official launch of our very own Red Earth Sound System πŸ’₯

It was truly a gathering of the tribes, a landmark moment for sound system culture in the West, and a celebration of everything we believe in: DIY grassroots community & small business, bassweight unity, and the power of community.

Our deepest gratitude to every single soul who showed up and showed love πŸ™

Massive respect to the crews who’ve supported us in this dream from day one and helped make the night what it was:

Introducing to the world: The Red Earth Sound System - the first custom-built Reggae & Dub Sound System, homegrown in Western Australia.

Born last night, 25 July 2025, after four years of labour and love, to a sold-out Fremantle Town Hall.
Soon the Red Earth will be moving - soon gathering community & spreading Sound System Vulture across WA.

For now, we let last night sink in. The trucks are empty, the sound is stored, and our hearts are overflowing. πŸ™

We give a million thanks to the overwhelming support & love of the WA, Australian, and global community.
