Street Chess is a weekly chess event held in the centre of Canberra. Join us under the trees outside King O'Malley's in City Walk.

Street Chess is held every Saturday from 11am to 3pm.

A great turnout of 41 players today, although we chose to play indoors, avoiding the early afternoon rain.

38 players today enjoying perfect spring weather. A number of casual players dropped in as well, noting it costs nothing to use the spare boards for friendly games.

35 players today. Steve Sengstock emerged from semi-retirement to claim first place, while my vow to play more chess once I turned 60 lasted 1 round before the chaos of organisation took over.

35 players in what was supposed to be the first outdoor event of Spring. But it rained.
BTW if you are interested in playing Go, the Go club meets from 12 at the same venue.
