It's been two years since my last blog post and I have kicked myself in the butt-pants pretty much weekly for not making it a priority. Instagram has been a distraction in the interim, but it still doesn't hit the sweet spot for me.

Hey guys, I know I’m a bit late to the game, but I just wanted to jump on board the “Happy New Year” and “Thank you for 2018” wagon.

Last year was a huge year for me both personally and professionally. I learnt a lot about myself and came undone a few times due to overextending myself and saying yes more than I should have (again). I traveled a few oceans over and made some amazing new friends who came into my life at a time I really needed them (you know who you are) Grain

Because of the support of my beautiful wife Andrea Rose , my supportive family, and some resilient, patient and mostly good looking friends, I have managed to push through another year and come out on the other side for another round.

On a slightly more uplifting paragraph, 2018 was also one of the most rewarding years professionally and creatively for me and I’m so grateful to still be here in business. I’m soooo thankful to all my legendary couples, who allow me to be me, to keep turning up to their dance floors over and over (and over) again.

2019 will be my 10th year full time in this gig and I pinch myself on the reg (thats short for regular) that I get to do what I do for a living.

Personally, we found out that we are going to have a beautiful little boy (in 7 weeks - eeeekkk) and having a front row seat to Andi [future mum] bossing it as she makes the journey through this pregnancy has been an incredible honour (I’m a lucky boy).
Maybe I’ll grow and become wiser and maybe I won’t. But, I have my family, my health, a couple of eyeballs that work and some beautiful friends. I figure, if I can just remind myself of that as often as I can, I bet everything else will work itself out.

Thank you to you all for being here, for your encouragement in the form of comments, double taps, the occasional sneaky DM or the silent smiles in the glow of your screen.

If your venue doest allow confetti exit, all good - just sneak around the corner with your besties and go nuts (bring me with you obvi). Excited to be joining the crew at Snap Photography Festival in Somerset, England - April 29-May3rd. Ive heard insanely good things about this festival, high five'ing myself that I get to hang with so many amazing speakers as well - pop on over, grab a ticket for the festival and the plane ride and see you there :)
