Love Stories ❤️ Brooke & Nathan - The Proposal

So, in September 2023, Nathan decided it was time.
A mystery picnic was something Brooke had always wanted to do, so Nathan organised a Yarra Valley Mystery Picnic. Unfortunately, the weather had other plans. It was cold, wet and windy all day, but that wasn’t going to stop them. They spent the day following clues sent via text, with each answer leading them to their next destination. Along the way, they visited bakeries, cheese shops, chocolate stores, wineries, delis and fruit farms, collecting treats for their picnic.

Their final clue led them to De Bortoli Winery, where Nathan had organised one last surprise. Waiting for them was a picnic blanket amongst rugs and cushions, surrounded by flowers and softly glowing candles. Despite the cold and rain, Brooke was completely smitten by it all. And then she saw the sign…“Will you marry me?”

Before either of them could get the words out, they looked at each other and the tears started. The nerves, the love and all the years they had shared suddenly came pouring out. Nathan was so overwhelmed with emotion that he forgot one fairly important part of a proposal… getting down on one knee. 😂 Through her happy tears, Brooke looked at him and said, “Aren’t you going to get down on one knee?” Eventually, he did. And even more importantly… she said YES!

Love Stories ❤️ Mintyy & Faiz - How They Met

Mintyy and Faiz apparently met at a design conference… which has always sounded believable enough. But sorry Mum and Dad, the truth is, like many modern love stories, theirs really began with a swipe and a match on a dating app. ☺️

Mintyy had recently moved to Sydney for a new job after spending the previous four years living and working in Victoria. New to the city and without many friends, she turned to dating apps as a way to meet people. So she swiped… and swiped… until one profile caught her attention. Faiz.

He had great photos, looked absolutely adorable, performed stand up comedy so surely he had to be funny, and his profile seemed thoughtful and genuine. Even the algorithm agreed, recommending them as a top match.

What Mintyy didn’t know was that Faiz had done a little preparation of his own. A few months earlier, he’d hired a dating coach who helped him refine his profile, including telling him to get professional photos. And clearly, it worked. 👌🏼 They matched, started texting, and in a move that would set the tone for their relationship, Mintyy took the lead and suggested they meet. And just like that, their love story officially began. ❤️

Love Stories ❤️ Cianne & Josh - Their First Date

For a whole month, Cianne and Josh were just friends online, chatting and getting to know each other.During that time, Cianne realised Josh was a genuinely good guy. He was respectful, funny, and easy to talk to. His profile also said he was a fit, avid surfer, so when Cianne was heading out for a walk one day, she invited him along, confident he could keep up with her love of exercise.

And so, their first date was a 6km walk around a flat lake, and Josh made absolutely sure he kept up. Afterwards, they headed to the pub to keep getting to know each other.
The next day, however, the truth started to reveal itself…Josh’s calves were so sore he could barely walk, thanks to a slight lack of any actual regular exercise. 😂

But he was determined to impress Cianne, so he didn’t make a fuss. In fact, for the next six months, he kept working out and pretending to be the fit, active guy she thought he was. He was willing to fake being an athletic boy if it meant getting to spend more time with her. And if that’s not commitment, I don’t know what is. 😂❤️

Love Stories ❤️ Taylah & Harrison - Their First Date

And that is when everything shifted…..They sat down for dinner and ended up talking for hours.

At first, Taylah thought Harrison was cute, but a little shy and awkward. It didn’t take long for those nerves to disappear though, and before she knew it, his humour and personality were coming through in full force.

Harrison thought Taylah was pretty, funny, and incredibly easy to talk to. The conversation flowed effortlessly, and they quickly realised just how much they had in common.

Eventually, the restaurant closed and they stepped outside to say goodbye. Feeling brave, Harrison leaned in for their first kiss…Only to be met with a handshake. 😂

Naturally, they both burst out laughing. But Harrison got there in the end, and eventually they shared their first real kiss. The one that mattered. The one that officially started their love story. ❤️

Love Stories ❤️ Tahlia & Semir

Their story began back in high school. They were just 15 when a mutual friend introduced them, and from the very first moment, the chemistry was there. What started as simple conversations quickly turned into nightly phone calls, talking for hours until they would fall asleep with each other still on the line.

As the days went on, their friendship naturally grew into something more. School felt different now, brighter somehow. Recess and lunch were no longer just breaks in the day, but moments they got to spend side by side, talking, laughing, and getting to know each other more deeply.

Semir was completely smitten with Tahlia. He loved her gorgeous curls, but even more than that, he was drawn to how kind, caring, and loving she was. There was something about her that he knew he didn’t want to let go of. And just two weeks after meeting, he asked her to make things official.

They were young, and their dates were simple, but that only made it more special. Tahlia would sneak onto the bus after school just to see him, finding little ways to be together. They would spend their time eating, watching movies, laughing, and dreaming about everything they wanted their future to be.

From the very beginning, their connection felt different. There was something easy and undeniable about it. Even back then, they both knew they had found something worth holding onto… the beginning of a love story that was only just getting started 💓
