Not everything has to be white or ivory - some of the most memorable weddings have colour throughout, and this one was stunning, using deep greens throughout. From the backdrop and ceiling draping, our beautiful rich green chiffon and velvets transformed the space in the Barn and Hay Shed spaces at Al Ru! Not every wedding detail needs to be white or ivory; some of the most unforgettable weddings incorporate vibrant colours. This particular celebration was breathtaking, featuring deep greens throughout. With beautiful rich green chiffon and velvets, the backdrop and ceiling draping transformed the Barn and Hay Shed spaces at Al Ru into a stunning setting!

And now it is time for a short winter break!

Sam and Susan will be away from Tuesday 4th, returning Wednesday 12th.

Rachel and Joe will be holding down the fort while we are away, handling all event setups and packdowns.

Enquiries may be answered sporadically while we are away - you know, in between eating glorious food... between sips of margaritas by the pool....

We will be in Far North Queensland, specifically Port Douglas to enjoy . Which, for anyone who knows us or reads our posts, knows it is the perfect place for us to relax and enjoy some amazing food and drinks curated by the phenomenal local restaurants and top-tier chefs!

And that is a wrap on our 10th birthday! We had so much fun showing you the beginnings of Amuse until the latest events we have been part of. Sharing our stories, the good, the bad the unbelievably amazing.

We appreciate and thank every single vendor we work with, the florists, stylists, planners, DJs, bands, photographers, videographers, celebrants, caterers, photobooth providers, content creators, marquee and hire companies, the unique suppliers like the on the day artists and pet sitters and of course the venues.

But most importantly our beautiful clients. Thank you for trusting us to create something amazing for your special day. Whether that is a wedding, a birthday party, a 5 day conference, gala dinners and community events. We love being part of it all.

We are working on growing Amuse but also bringing it back to our core - high quality AV services and beautiful wedding lighting. Our word of the year is consistency and that is our goal, to offer consistent communication and consistent ex*****on.

When people think of lighting and audio-visual, they often focus on the equipment. However, the truth is that our team is what truly defines Amuse. Without these amazing individuals, we would not be able to successfully execute over 400 events each year to our high standards.

Our crew is a diverse mix of personalities, yet there are plenty of common interests that bring us together. It always makes for an fun van ride when one person shares their experience of meeting Mike Dirnt (the bassist of Green Day) in Rundle Mall, or discusses the backstory of the latest musical. Conversations about weekend footy games (Port vs Collingwood is always an interesting one) or upcoming bands performing in Adelaide are commonplace.

We talk home renovations, holidays, schooling and food. No topic is too far out of reach, and it means our team aren't just employees but friends.

We strongly support our team members' interests beyond their roles, as we believe that a positive working environment fosters a stronger team and leads to even better events!

Thank you guys without you, we couldn't and wouldn't want to do what we do!

We are incredibly fortunate in Adelaide to have access to an abundance of truly phenomenal photographers. We cherish each one of them for perfectly capturing these beautiful events. We are especially grateful when they take the time to share their images with us, as we often miss the final results and don’t even get to see what our lovely couples look like!

Today, we want to give a special shout-out to two of our favourites. consistently send us their stunning images, tag us on social media, and even take the time to hang out with us! Tony and Tereza have transitioned from vendors we barely knew to friends. It always brightens our day when we receive an email with wedding photos from the weekend or get tagged in an Instagram post!

To all the photographers who share their remarkable work with us, we extend our heartfelt thanks. Without your contributions, our business could not thrive, and we appreciate each and every one of you.

From an oval in Golden Grove through to Alexandria Gardens in Melbourne, Duc and the team from have brought big colour, traditional music and incredible food to the masses. We can’t get enough, and judging by how far the events have grown, we are certainly not alone. You’ll often find Sam “supervising” our operators with a sugar cane juice and a plate (read: multiple plates) of food.

These festivals have also been an amazing way to upskill crew. With the sheer number of acts and the unique instrumentation, we are always thinking on our feet. Joe even learned that he could swap certain food vendors’ song requests for some delicious BBQ pork.

Last year’s Melbourne event was a particular highlight with some of the most talented artists we have ever worked with. Night after night, we were completely blown away!

We are in the final week of our big birthday social media extravaganza and what better way to start it off than with a BIG shoutout to our client 💛 — the platform that's been shining a spotlight on the best of Adelaide and South Australia for years. Founded by Hayley Pearson and Lauren DeCesare, Adelady has grown into one of the state's most trusted voices, and the pair have made it their mission to champion local SA businesses, giving them a platform to be seen, celebrated and supported by their own community. It's exactly the kind of local-first energy we love getting behind.

One of our favourite things Hayley and Lauren do each year is their International Women's Day luncheon, bringing together women from across South Australian business to celebrate, connect and be inspired. It's a great reminder of why we love working with Adelady. Our own business is proud to have a higher percentage of women on our team than many others in our industry, so championing events like this feels close to home.

And fun fact: something we didn’t realise until after the first few events working with the team is that Lauren's dad is actually our warehouse landlord!

National Wine Centre holds some pretty fun memories for us.. well mostly Susan who attended multiple Champagne Fest events! (If you could bring these back I know a whole heap of people who would love to attend ha!)

But the true memories are setting events and seeing the Instagram stories and images later.

We have been involved in Corporate exhibitions and conferences as well as weddings so it truly is a venue we have done a bit of everything in.

One of the first weddings we did was for Celeste and Lenny and you can see by that first dance image how magical it turned out!
