Wedding food served on the banks the Zambezi River should taste like it came from here.

It's a simple idea, and it's the one that shapes every celebration at Pure Africa Waterfront.

That's the standard in the Pure Africa kitchen, and it shapes every wedding menu: Zimbabwean beef sourced within 100 kilometres, vegetables from township growers, and Zambezi bream caught the same morning it's served.

Seasonal, local and rooted in the flavours of Victoria Falls.

Lolly and Dean's brief was clear: white, green and nothing fussy.

White roses massed along the ceremony arch, trailing down into the greenery 🌿

The same palette carried through to the table: roses and veronicastrum nestled into woven basket runners, with fern and dried palm holding everything together.

🌅 Some couples want the Zambezi to do the work, just water, birds and the stillness that settles over the river as the sun drops.

🎷 Others want a saxophonist on the riverbank, a string duo on the deck or a vocalist for the first dance.

Ryan & Cal’s wedding was one of wild beauty and unforgettable moments 💍✨

After their ceremony, they surprised guests with a sunset cruise on the Zambezi with golden skies on the top deck giving way to a magical moonrise.

Back on shore, the celebrations continued with a styled reception by Pure Africa Weddings and hand-drawn portraits of each guest by 🌿

A day that was as personal as it was spectacular. Congratulations again, Ryan & Cal 🥂
