On our third date(2 weeks later), he randomly asked, “By the way… why are we not married?” 😂😂. Again, thinking he was joking, she laughed and said, “Well… because you haven’t asked.” 🤣🤣🤣 Without missing a beat, he replied, “So… should we just get married then?” That’s when she realised… this man was not PLAYINV😭😂 . And just like that, our different cultures and backgrounds were about to be tested. In British culture, you get engaged, then plan a wedding. In Zimbabwean culture, you involve the elders, go through lobola, then have a wedding. So she explained that before anything, there were cultural steps that had to be honoured. After hearing all of that, he smiled and said, “Okay… so when are we going to Zimbabwe for me to get my wife?” 🥹🤍 And in that moment, she knew—this was someone who wasn’t just choosing her, but choosing where she comes from too.

The wedding 🤍💍🤍 To seal our perfect love story, we journeyed back to England for our happily ever after. 🇬🇧 Surrounded by love, we said “I do” to a lifetime of choosing each other. ❤️ The sweetest “I do.” He promised to give her the world, to make her the happiest woman on earth… and he has kept that promise every single day. He wakes up and chooses her over and over again. Sometimes we look at each other and wonder, “How did we get this lucky, to experience a love like this?” Maybe we did something really good in our past lives (if they exist 😂). A love so beautiful. A love we are grateful to live in every single day. And the best part? We get to experience this love forever ♥️♥️♥️

The celebration 🥂 Because when two deserving hearts find the kind of love they’ve always prayed for, it deserves to be celebrated. And that’s exactly what we did. Family, friends, and loved ones all came together, not just for a gathering, but for a proper celebration of love. A day filled with joy, laughter, dancing, and unforgettable moments. It was more than just a celebration, it was a reflection of love, unity, and everything we had built together. The kind of love we found? Yeah… it called for a PARTY. 😂🥂 And without a doubt… the best party we’ve ever thrown. 💥💥💥

The lobola 😇🐄💍 Ten months later (after endless conversations with the elders 😂😂), it was time to travel all the way to Zimbabwe for him to go and get his wife. 🇿🇼. It was his first time in Zimbabwe, stepping into the unknown, into a completely new culture, new traditions, and a new way of life. And yet, he was surprisingly calm. He handled every moment with love, courage, and quiet confidence. Meeting her family for the first time, he was welcomed with open arms, everyone loved him instantly. He fit in so naturally, like he had always been part of the family. Even in moments that could have felt overwhelming, he carried himself with such grace, because that’s just who he is. From experiencing rural life for the very first time to embracing every part of it without a single complaint, he showed up fully, wholeheartedly. And as if heaven itself had aligned… the lobola negotiations went beautifully. And just like that… THEY WERE MARRIED. 🥹

The proposal ❤️ Every girl dreams of her perfect proposal. She had casually mentioned hers on that very first date. So for her birthday, he took her to Paris. ✈️🇫🇷 . And right there, in front of the Eiffel Tower, he got down on one knee and asked the question that would change everything. The easiest “yes 💍” to the man of her dreams. ♥️ A moment that felt like something straight out of a fairytale…because sometimes, life really does turn out even better than you imagined.

How our favourite love story started… ♥️♥️♥️ June will forever be the best month of our lives. The month our paths crossed, and everything changed in ways we never imagined. Our first date quickly became our “best last first date.” We talked about anything and everything, like two people who had known each other forever. It felt easy. It felt safe. It just… aligned. For a moment, we even forgot that we came from completely different backgrounds and lived completely different lives. None of it mattered. At some point in the night, he jokingly said, “Should we just elope and get married in Vegas? 😂” . She laughed it off… but maybe he already knew. 😅 When the night came to an end, neither of us wanted to leave. Because deep down, we were both thinking the same thing… Did we just meet the love of our lives? ❤️🥰 And somehow… we did.
