Love is beautiful, but marriage must be intentional.

Did you know that in Zimbabwe, nearly 4,000 divorce applications were filed in 2025, which was a 27% increase from the previous year? And in the first two months of this year alone, over 500 divorce cases were already filed. This shows that many marriages are under pressure and many couples are silently struggling.

Marriage is not failing because people don’t love each other — marriage is failing because many issues are not addressed in time: communication, finances, expectations, family pressure, and emotional disconnection. What we don’t fix early, we end up losing later.

This is why we are hosting a Couples Picnic — not just for fun, but for connection, healing, communication, and strengthening marriages before they break.

💔 500 divorce cases already filed from January 2026 is a wake-up call.

Marriage, a sacred bond created by God, is crumbling. Genesis 2:24 says, "A man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh." God's design for marriage is beautiful, but it's being torn apart.

We can't just stand by and watch. It's time to take marriage seriously, to nurture it, and to fight for it.
