Whilst on stage as co-facilitators with my beautiful sister Zandile Zaza Ndlovu and my fine brother Arthur C. Evans at the just ended 5th General Assembly of the African Public Procurement Network, two key thoughts stuck out of the session conversations:

1) Public Procurement accounts for 15 – 17% of Africa’s GDP.
2) African Continental Free Trade Area (AFCFTA) is amongst strategic enablers for inclusive growth, steam-lined legislative climate and future-proof windows for regional growth.

Kudos to the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ) for hoisting the national flag impeccably as Zimbabwe excellently discharged its mandate as the 2025 host and the incumbent President/Chair of this continental network!

Music’s potency as a game-changer to popular discourses remains a no-brainer. When a concert MC naively personalizes the microphone, he runs the risk of missing the learning points from the sociology of art as a codified mode of performative production. The People’s Concert was a heart-warming opportunity for musicians to tell their stories to an amazing audience that vicariously shares in the co-creation of our everyday narratives.
