Stories have the power to change lives. 📚

We caught up with Deborah from the UNILUS Book Drive Committee to talk about the importance of giving books a second home and the impact a single donation can have on a child's reading journey.

The committee, based at the UNILUS Mass Media Campus, continues to champion literacy through initiatives like their Children's Book Drive.

If you'd like to support their work or explore partnership opportunities, be sure to reach out through their social media pages or visit them at the UNILUS Mass Media Campus.

Every book shared is the beginning of a new story.

One attendee. One vendor. Plenty to say. 📚

We caught up with Malachite to hear about their Bookish Affairs experience, from running a vendor table filled with handmade notebooks and pastries to stepping into the Court of Hot Takes.

The rating? Let's just say... it sparked a debate.

Our panel discussion on "Children's Financial Literacy" provided a remarkable platform for intellectual exchange and industry insight. The conversation beautifully highlighted the intricacies of producing childhood literature, emphasizing how impactful the product is for the next generation.

We extend our deepest appreciation to our distinguished panelists for their invaluable contributions and for generously sharing their expertise. A sincere thank you to Dr. Sydney Muponda, Buchingo , as well as Kulanda house Co founders, Kapampa and David for enriching our community and shaping such a profound, inspiring dialogue.

A special note of gratitude goes to Tozy Botah for expertly moderating this session with such grace and insight. We also want to take this moment to celebrate her and remind everyone to look out for her upcoming film, 'Just Our Luck', which officially premieres on August 1st! 🎬✨

"One Zambia, One Nation" is the enduring foundation of our country.

Today, we celebrate the peace, shared values, and togetherness that bind us as a community. The men and women who built this nation showed us that our greatest strength lies in moving forward as one people.

Today, we pause to honour the courage, sacrifice, and unbreakable spirit of the men and women who paved the way for a free Zambia.

From the visionary leadership of figures like Dr. Kenneth Kaunda and Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula, to the fearless activism and frontline resistance of heroines like Mama Julia Chikamoneka and Mama Chibesa Kankasa—their collective resilience built the nation we call home.

Happy Heroes' Day! 🇿🇲✨
