Africa FutureTech Summit 2025: MIBT Global and AfYEF Advance Continental Innovation as Southern Africa Gears Up for Pan-African Cardano Hackathon Series
Lusaka / Kitwe, Zambia — December 2025
MIBT Global, alongside the AfCFTA Young Entrepreneurs Federation (AfYEF), is advancing preparations for the Africa FutureTech Summit 2025 (AFTS2025) while supporting the MIBT Cardano Hackathon, which forms part of a series of twelve Cardano hackathons taking place across Africa.
The MIBT Cardano Hub Zambia, operating under MIBT Global, is the only Cardano Hub representing Southern Africa in this continental initiative—positioning Zambia and the wider region as key contributors to Africa-wide innovation and entrepreneurship.
The hackathons are designed to help young innovators and startups develop practical solutions to everyday challenges, with a strong emphasis on real-world impact.
In Zambia, twelve (12) teams are currently gearing up to participate, developing ideas that respond to pressing needs across key sectors including financial services, mining, healthcare, agriculture, trade, and youth employment.
At the conclusion of the local hackathon, the top three teams will be awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes. Outstanding teams will also have the opportunity to be selected among the top five teams emerging from across Africa, earning the chance to feature at the Cardano Africa Tech Summit (CATS) 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya.
The MIBT Cardano Hackathon is sponsored by WADA Global and supported by PRISMA, reinforcing strong ecosystem backing for practical innovation and problem-solving across the continent.
