SPLENDID NEWS!!!!!!

You last heard from us 633 days ago, and it was a sad post. Today, we are here to put smiles on your faces as we share SPLENDID news!

The Lafe Team reunited on the 28th of May 2022 to design a magical wedding for one of the Lafe Classic Functions directors and the love of her life at The Royal Livingstone Victoria Falls Zambia Hotel by Anantara. No, we are not reopening the business, but the former team / Lafe family had a phenomenal time erecting unique structures, assembling exquisite furniture, designing beautiful floral arrangements and celebrating love! It was an iconic event!

Let's focus on the decorative details of this love commitment celebration. The color palette chosen by the bride and groom was modern and timeless. Their intimate ceremony, lounge meets nature cocktail hour, and elegant reception had the most stunning furniture. The good news is that the ceremony arches, sweetheart tables, cocktail tables, bar stools, lounge sets, trolleys, mirrored tables and trays, custom-designed backdrops, dome and dancefloor, his and hers throne chairs, black and gold velvet chairs, gold ice buckets, and a welcome sign frame to name a few are on SALE! The luxurious items were only used for a few hours as they were purchased and designed for this event.

The lovebird's event was adorned with elegance from the breathtaking venue, the bridal party’s attire, the timeless décor, the scrumptious cuisine, and the guest's stylish outfits. However, what we cannot get over is the amount of love in the air from the couple, their families, the hotel staff, the vendors, the hotel guests and the Lafe Team. We hope you feel the love as you make your purchases and design the furniture in your homes or at your events.

On the 31st of August we bid our Lafe family farewell when we decided to close the business and pursue our own dreams.

Little did we know that our one and only brother’s dream was to earn his angel wings and be reunited with his late father and mother.

Our brother Siwetje Mwale Sh*tima passed away on the 12th of September. We are extremely heartbroken but our hearts are filled with gratitude. Thank you for the outpour of love extended to our family during this time of our loss.

Our brother’s charismatic personality brought the Lafe team together for one last “Lafe masterpiece.”

May the good Lord richly bless you all.

Dear Beloved Lafe Family,

As you know, Lafe Hotel and Lafe Classic Functions were owned by our late mother Mwansa Emmy Mwale. She was the most elegant, organized, professional, and hardworking woman we have ever known. She was also an entrepreneur at heart — she owned a salon, flower shop, restaurants, a hotel, and a dècor company at different stages of her life. Her dying wish was for her dècor company to become a household name — WE DID IT, MOTHER!

We endured late nights and early mornings, sleepless nights, time away from our precious families, and the stress of maintaining the high standards she set in the industry. It sounds like we’ve been living an entrepreneurial nightmare but the truth is that keeping her legacy alive has been nothing short of fulfilling.

This post serves to inform you all that we have OFFICIALLY CLOSED Lafe Hotel and Lafe Classic Functions after five years of keeping our angel mother’s dream alive. It is time for us to chase our own dreams.

Thank you for trusting us with your events, and for cheering us on! We ask that you continue to send prayers up for us as we embark on our next adventures.

1. First of all, the RONA is real. NO MASK = NO ENTRY!
2. We will be showcasing unsold items from our previous sale; beds, headboards, dressing tables, chafing dishes, plates, and glasses.
3. A plethora of decorative items and event furniture; marquees, pinnacle tents, tables, chairs, table linen, napkins, underplates, napkin holders, centerpieces, stages, dancefloors, marquee lining and drapery fabric, wooden benches, wooden ladders, candelabras, teelite holders, and so much more!
4. CASH PAYMENTS ONLY! We will have a POS Machine available. However, please carry cash if you have a ZANACO bank card as we faced challenges during our last sale. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT CHEQUES!
5. There will be a FOOD and DRINKS stall for you to nourish your bodies while you “shop ‘til you drop”!Trust us on this one, their braii’d chicken is scrumptious!
6. We will not be showcasing the items on sale BEFORE Saturday. Please allow us to treat you to a well organized sale.
