🌟 We Did It! | Mopani Catering Training Programme: June 17–18, 2025 🌟
On June 17th and 18th, Aliport Innovations Ltd, in proud partnership with Conchita’s Food & Events, had the incredible honour of conducting the Mopani Catering Training Programme This a life changing initiative that brought together 94 participants, mostly women from the local community of Kitwe & Mufulira, for two powerful days of practical, high impact learning.
This program is part of Mopani Copper Mines’ bold commitment to community empowerment through their Miners’ Feeding Programme, identifying, training, and uplifting local talent to take on the important role of preparing daily meals for thousands of miners.
Conchita’s Food & Events brought its unmatched experience in catering for large-scale mining operations. Aliport Innovations Ltd. contributed its expertise in training women and men from the community in domestic and industrial skills, from cooks and cleaners to general workers and service professionals.
Together, we formed a dynamic duo, united not just by knowledge but by heart and heritage.
We’re not outsiders.
We are women from the same communities as our trainees.
We have walked the same dusty roads, faced the same struggles, and carried the same dreams of opportunity and dignity.
We’ve known what it means to be overlooked and what it feels like when someone finally says “Yes, we believe in you.”

Thank you for opening this door for us and the women. For choosing to invest not just in a program but in people. For seeing the power of local hands and the potential of women and men who just needed someone to believe in them.
To the empowered 94: This is your moment.
What you have learned is not just skill, it's identity. You are now cooks, professionals, and leaders. Take this opportunity and guard it fiercely. Grow it. Honour it. Share it.
This was more than training.
This was transformation, it is hope and a dream come true.
And we gave it everything we had, with pride, purpose, and gratitude.
