This photo is so meaningful on so many levels to me. That morning, that place, why we were there, being up in the sky with my uncle and facing my fear of heights..it represents all the good I was blessed with in 2022. Like all years, it had its highs and lows but the highs were much needed on the personal front! So let's make this the 'personal' post. Work stuff in another! In Jan, I was convinced I was in for the worst year yet. My heart was broken. I had to move AGAIN. But after heading back to my hometown, I did a lotta soul-searching, a lotta praying, a lotta sobbing on the phone with my friends, lol. Then one night, I met a lady who spoke such FAITH and PEACE into my life. I drove home that night feeling like I was genuinely going to be ok. THE NEXT DAY I met the man of my actual dreams. NO LIE. He is peace, joy, love, honesty, fun and kindness personified. And lol of all lols, he legit used to model! Me with a model? Who is even more beautiful on the inside? Can you believe it, guys? Lol! That's a whole 'nutha post...nay a thesis! Healthwise...still struggling with some medical hangups but docs were visited and scans were done and things have improved! RELIEF! Still a long road ahead but I hope I'm on the path, lol. MY 40th! What a belter! I have never felt so loved in all my life. My friends, fam and BF went above and beyond to make it such a special one. Forever grateful to my gang. Working with my uncle and getting to travel to Africa to shoot, film and write for projects that are so close to my heart...beyond a blessing. I met the most amazing humans and bonus, got to see a lion close-up, lol. Clearly still say 'lol' a lot! So where are we on the photography front? Stay tuned for the next riveting installment 😂 And as always, thank you for being here...even though I don't get nearly as much time as I used to, to chat with you here. I'm still forever grateful for all the support I receive from you guys. Hugs and happy New Year! x

Hello, friends! I realised I had shared this on Insta but not on my poor little FB page!

Every now and then I receive a message along the lines of, 'You're a lot quieter these days, what's up?' Well...! For those that don't know, in December 2020, I began working for an amazing non-profit called Droplets in a Stream At the time, SA had just entered into a third lockdown and I was experiencing another wave of cancellations. This meant giving up my home and so much that I had worked for.

When my uncle called to tell me there was an opportunity for someone of my background, I LEPT at it! There is a lot more depth and detail to the story but it really felt like God's hand upon my life.

I knew I couldn't just switch off my business and I didn't want to. I still love shooting for my couples and am committed to honouring all my bookings for this year. I did, however, have to start dedicating more of my time to this new area of work. So I'm sorry I'm a little slower on the photography side of things!

But shew, this new work has been a soul-soothing, heart-wrenching, humbling and rewarding experience. DIAS supports the most vulnerable children and their families in four communities in Africa. These are parts of the world that many have overlooked or forgotten. I've been involved in the content creation for donors, the website update, social media development and other projects I'm super passionate about. In 2023, I hope to work full time for DIAS but the pandemic has taught me that you can never plan too far ahead!

For now, my days are split between shooting, editing and working for DIAS. We have a page here > Droplets in a Stream and we recently started an Instagram account which you can follow over here if you like :)

So yeah, I just wanted to share a little update. I'm still shooting and tapping away at the comp! Last year, I essentially shot two years' worth of weddings in one year and it was INTENSE, lol. I'm still posting on Instagram and I do plan to share all those incredible events here too but I don't want to burn myself out post Corona-coaster.

Behind the scenes, I have experienced so much change and I'm still trying to process it all - while I carve out a path ahead. Thank you for being here - and thank you for taking the time to read this! x

My beloved clients,

I hope you are keeping well and have enjoyed sharing your online gallery with friends and family!

In 2021, I shot a record amount of events as Covid restrictions began to lift - hooray for being able to gather together again! This does however mean that I need to create more space online for new galleries to be uploaded.

All galleries that were published before 2021 will be removed on 22 Jan 2022.

You may download individual images, your folder of favourites or you can download the full gallery in one swoop! You'll find a download icon above the gallery and above individual images once you've clicked on them.

The images will download directly to a zipped folder on your computer and you’re done. Easy peasey!

Once you have downloaded your photos, please take the time to back up your images just in case anything happens to your computer. I personally think the more back ups, the merrier, so feel free to put them on additional USBs and hard drives.

If you would like your gallery to be re-uploaded after the 22nd, you can pop me an email to request this. The cost for this will be R400 a year. You can also purchase a crystal USB in a keepsake box for R450.

Merry merry my friends! I hope you're having a wonderfully relaxing time with your specials. 'Tis the season to reflect and I've been thinking about all the amazing families and couples who blessed me with work, support, adventures and magical moments that were an honour to capture. Thank you so much! It wasn't long ago that I wished to be a photographer and you all made that dream come true. I pray that 2022 will open the doors to all your heart's desires.
