The orchards are buzzing, the bins are filling up, and the winter sunshine is doing its magic. We are officially harvesting our gorgeous, plump olives, and we couldn't be more excited about what comes next.

These hand-picked beauties are making a direct trip from our trees to the press to become the next exquisite batch of 𝗗𝗶𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻 𝗢𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗶𝗹.

Cold-pressed to preserve all that vibrant, peppery, and fruity goodness, our olive oil is the perfect partner to your favourite home-cooked meals, crisp salads, or simply dipped with a chunk of fresh artisan bread. From our soil to your table, it’s pure packaged Wellington passion.

☔ 𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘 𝗜𝗡 𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗧𝗢𝗡 ☔

It's difficult to think that this seductively sunny scene was captured in the heart of harvest's excitement a mere two months ago...

We are immensely grateful that our entire Diemersfontein family remained safe during the recent storms. We are also truly thankful for the respite that the rain brought to our vineyards after the hot, dry summer.

The generous rainfall brought the ideal conditions for us to start the first phase of our vine replanting schedule. Our vineyard team have been hard at work uprooting blocks identified as under-performing.

At the same time, soil preparation was done in anticipation for the new vine 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘬𝘬𝘪𝘦𝘴 (a combination of Pinotage, Chenin Blanc, Grenache, Malbec, and perhaps some other exciting varietals) that will, in time, be established in their new home here on our estate.

We began this month by celebrating 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙖𝙪𝙫𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙤𝙣 𝘽𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙘 𝘿𝙖𝙮 on the 1st of May. While we enjoyed the crispness of our white wines, the cooling weather calls for a more robust companion... So we've decided that our 𝗗𝗶𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝘂𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 should take centre stage as the big brother of the cellar; we are offering a 15% discount on this classic red for the entire month, at only R842 per case.

😋 𝗦𝗢 '𝗡 𝗕𝗘𝗞 𝗞𝗢𝗥𝗧 𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗕𝗘𝗖 😋

Even though we're best known for our world-famous coffee-chocolate Pinotage, but our range of wines extend beyond the proudly South African varietal, as we're also one of the few winefarms in the country producing a single varietal Malbec.

As one of the wines in our lauded 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗽𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗲𝗺 range, the 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗰 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 is a wine that shines through its inky appearance and rich flavours. Decanted ahead of drinking, it's a perfect marriage with game meats such as Kudu or Springbok. However, the wine will also benefit greatly from putting it in your cellar to mature and forgetting about it for about 10 years from its harvest date.
