🌱 It’s that time of year! Time to get those spring seeds sown! 🌸

Here’s a quick germination tip! 👇

Some seeds need light to germinate, so instead of covering them with soil, try covering them lightly with fine vermiculite.

Fine vermiculite helps:
💧 Keep the seed moist
🛡️ Protect the seed
☀️ Still allow light to reach the seed

Some seeds that benefit from light during germination include:

🌸 Petunias
🌿 Snapdragons
🌱 Coleus
🌺 Poppies
🥬 Celery
🥬 Lettuce
💜 Lavender
🌸 Lobelia
🌿 Thyme
🌿 Oregano

As a general rule, it’s often the very small seeds that need light to germinate.
