🌿🌸 BEGINNERS FLORISTRY COURSE – DAY TWO 🌸🌿

What a busy, exciting and incredibly creative second day we had! 💐

We started the morning with a Hand-Tied Bouquet, where I demonstrated the correct technique behind creating a beautifully balanced bouquet.

Floristry is so much more than simply putting flowers together. 🌸 There is technique, structure, angles and balance involved — and even the choice of colour plays an important role in creating a successful design.

We then learnt the art of wrapping and finishing a bouquet, because those final little details are what truly complete your creation. 🎀

Next, it was time for my students to put their new skills to the test by creating their own basket arrangements, working with a selection of flowers I had chosen for them. What a wonderful job they did! 👏🌿

We then moved on to Asymmetrical Design, exploring shape, form, colour and specific design techniques to create a beautiful, balanced arrangement with a very different style.

Finally, we explored grouping flowers, a design technique that creates impact and is commonly seen in church arrangements and wedding florals. 🤍🌿

So much was learnt, created and achieved in one day — and watching my students' confidence grow is one of my favourite parts of teaching. ❤️

🌺 BEGINNERS FLORISTRY COURSE – DAY ONE 🌺

What a wonderful course to do if you’ve ever dreamed of venturing into the incredible world of floristry! 🌸

My 3-Day Beginners Floristry Course is designed to teach you all the important basics you need to understand when working with flowers — from preparing your flowers correctly to creating beautiful, well-balanced arrangements. 🌻

And, of course, there is plenty of hands-on creativity and fun! Each student gets the opportunity to create their own arrangements under my guidance and supervision. 💐

🌿 DAY ONE – The Introduction to Floristry

We begin by getting to know the wonderful world of flowers and understanding the fundamentals of floristry.

I demonstrate how to create a beautiful Table Arrangement, explaining the importance of design, proportion and balance when putting an arrangement together.

Then it’s time for a Vase Arrangement demonstration, where I show the students how important it is to correctly clean and prepare their flowers before creating a beautiful, well-designed arrangement.

Once the demonstrations are complete, the students get to put their new skills into practice and create their very own Table and Vase Arrangements. 🌷

There is certainly a lot to learn on Day One, but watching the students become more confident and creative as they work with the flowers makes it all worthwhile. ❤️

It was a long, busy and very rewarding day — and then it was time to pack up, take a well-deserved rest and get ready for Day Two! 🌸🌿
